  1. When/if I get into something like this, I hope for some serious photoshop help from this place!
  2. Imagine a Camino with that sloping rear pillar and backlight, or an SD with the same rear roofline...
  3. You still have that Starlet, Fog?!! As for trucks, by the time I finish Mothertruck, the Blazer, and Project Camino, I will have had my fill, I think.
  4. I think that for a phantom Camino or SD, I'd have to start with a bubbletop coupe, and the same year wagon.
  5. I know that car! It is flat out gorgeous in person! I'd bet that a '59 Camino roof would get the job done, but it would lose the bubbletop look.
  6. The trouble is that many of the ideas I like best involve cannibalizing a rare vehicle. I might have to get more creative to avoid that.
  7. I'm fine with most of the car ending up custom, but I'd like the body itself to look factory enough to make people scratch their heads and ask, " did they build those?"
  8. Lots of variables to that, I'd have to choose carefully. The more pieces I can source from a given platform, the easier it will be to do.
  9. Since '59 Buicks have a special status around here, what about a '59 Buick Sedan Delivery as a phantom?
  10. I like that idea too.
  11. The idea of some type of phantom based on a bubbletop is working for me.
  12. I think I'd like a very factory-looking bodystyle that never was..
  13. Saw one on Speed that was converted to an El Camino - very clean conversion.
  14. Unsure. I just know that I want to have the project firmly in mind before finding the project car this time around. This is just a brainstorming session, really.
  15. Bubbletop styling on a 2-door wagon or SD...
  16. I really like the bubbletops, but I want to see wagons of that era.
  17. Can't wait to see that one!
  18. Did the BOP divisions have 2-door wagons in the '61-'63 years?
  19. The El Catalina tells me that my Pontiac idea won't fly, I don't care for that styling.
  20. Understood. I will have to decide just how far to venture out of my comfort zone.
  21. Seen 'em and like 'em, but I think I want to stay within GM.
  22. Trying to stay away from Chevy...
  23. Anyone got pics of fullsize '59/'60 Pontiacs handy? I have an idea...
  24. Hmm, can't say I ever considered that recipe. I do think I'd like to stick to the "longer, lower, wider" era this time around. The "58 is a bit of a chunk.
  25. 'nother question: What sedan deliveries were still in production during any of the years from '59 to say '63ish?
