  1. Glad you're sweating the details.
  2. Cool! Two good ones so far.
  3. So, no nightmare ideas?
  4. Here's a link to the Bertone Coupe I was talking about: http://www.volvobertone.com/8enstory.html
  5. I might have to make him a "homemade special" with some errr... secret ingredients.
  6. You are correct! Very cool little wagonish beast. There used to be quite a few around here, but I suspect that the rust monster got them.
  7. I might enjoy that...
  8. Okay, I guess I need to lay the scenario out a bit better. Let's say that you are an assistant to Lutz and he decides to shake things up. He calls you in and gives you a mission that makes you groan inside for some reason. What would that mission be?
  9. The P1800s are worthwhile as well.
  10. The creeping doom of suburbia. Damn sprawl!
  11. But that would be a fun job!
  12. Doubtful. But the earlier Bertone coupe would be collectible. You know, the one that looked like the roof was chopped from the factory.
  13. Let's assume that you are a mover and a shaker and have been assigned to a task you didn't want, but one that is important.
  14. ...what would your nightmare job be? And would you do it well anyway?
  15. Actually, I think you are right. The early A/G bodies from 78-81 did offer a V8/manual combo. I am almost certain that Olds wasn't excluded from that. Hard to find though...
  16. I'd take a wild guess at them using the Poncho engines in the GMC version of the Cameo.
  17. There sure is. It's in short supply these days.
  18. I'm in love! Even if it is white. Also quite the nice Healey 3000. You see the guy with the Lotus7 often? I'd love to know where to get the stainless gaurds fro the front of the rear fenders. I suggested using exactly that treatment on the one I've been working on. Very cool pics, thanks for posting them. The yards around here have mostly all disappeared.
  19. Cool. Do the plenum first.
  20. Heard this on the radio - got me thinking about my grandfather. He was in the Navy in WWII, I still have his pea coat and lapel flag pin.
  21. The first batch of SSRs were all "Showcar Purple" and they were called the "Signature Series". The cars went on a promotional tour to various events which were all documented and came with the car - pretty cool promotion.
  22. Yup, that's may favorite color on the SSR - I just remebered the name: Aqua Blur. Those pickups are cool, I see one every now and then.
