  1. The '73 Cutlass is one of the very best-looking Colonnade cars.
  2. Yeah, I'm anxious to see what he comes up with.
  3. Like I said, it's the dream.
  4. Really looks good, DF. I miss having good junkyards around.
  5. The dream in all of this is that the Solstice Targa might get to live on. At least as far as I'm concerned that's the dream. That car is cool enough that even I would consider it, despite how small it is.
  6. Cool.
  7. Got any time for this yet, DF?
  8. Yeah. There were supposed to be about 6 or 7 major Highways into/out of Philly way back when. Only one of those was ever built. So, we are left with the haphazard mixture of roadways all around the city.
  9. Residents were clamoring for pedestrian bridges, but the city said no due to expense. There really needs to be a separate road there for through-traffic.
  10. I'm sure you guys know how I feel about the use of these cameras generally. But there is a road in Philly where the have installed a bunch of them, almost out of desperation. The road is called Roosevelt Blvd., and it is one nasty piece of asphalt. The problem is that it tries to be both a highway and a local suface street. For much of its length, it runs through commercial and residential areas with cross-streets with up to six lanes! The lanes are narrow and choked with traffic, yet pedestrians cross in great number at many intersections. Many car/pedestrian fatalities are the result. So, they installed the cameras to instant effect. While the number of serious accidents/fatalities decreased, the overall number of minor accidents actually went up! Many folks who would have run lights in the past simply jammed on their brakes instead, leading to a spike in rear-end crashes. A better road, would be the right answer, I think.
  11. Could be nothing, but there do seem to be some viable possibilities in this.
  12. The more I think about it, the more I'd love to see it happen. - Run the exisitng line as is for Sky. - Utilize another portion of the plant to final assembly of knock-down kits from an import partner. Grow from there.
  13. I guess it depends on how much backing/partnership support Penske has up his sleeve.
  14. Very interesting.
  15. Look for the factory radio's power lead, it may be just the right spot. Probably stuffed up under the dash somewhere...
  16. Hopefully, everyone's list is different. :AH-HA_wink:
  17. Wow! This is a huge problem. Why don't they at least announce which cars are affected? I'd sure as hell want to know sooner than "a few months"!
  18. Might be just a smidge early for that...
  19. Like it alot, YJ! Can you lose the front license plate holder? Good luck with it, I really liked the '86 I had.
  20. Just saw quite the display at a nearby Chevy dealer. They had a big, roll-off, dumpster with a cash for clunkers banner on it. Inside, hanging out of either end was an old F150 and an 80s Volvo sedan.
  21. Aftermarket stereo, right? Your fuseblock should have a few unused hot leads that that connector could plug into, use a test light to see which one(s) are always hot. The yellow wire does have an inline fuse, right? Because the leads I'm talking about are unfused.
  22. Thanks for the good wishes, I can use them right about now. The car would be a cool project for sure, I remember a wagon version from when I was a little kid. A very different bodystyle without doubt.
  23. Another valid question, Teh. This whole thing is window dressing.
  24. No, it's not in the barn. I'm quite completely broke, so there won't be any more purchases for some time. And, I feel compelled to admit, I'm not in love with that car. Sorry 'bout that.
  25. Sad and stupid. All of it.
