  1. Its the only thing we have found with the body crease ending in the right place at the bumper. Has to be.
  2. You may have nailed it.
  3. You'd see the hole.
  4. No rear marker light means pre-68
  5. Well, we have the quarter window right for sure. '65-'68 B body of some kind. Electra?, LeSabre? The chrome strip in the center of the trunk lid could be a clue.
  6. '65 Biscayne: By CaminoLS6
  7. They made a coupe as well as a fastback back then. Also Biscayne was used on lower end models. I'm looking for a pic.
  8. Try '66
  9. That varied through those years, the one you posted is a '68? I think this one is earlier.
  10. I'm going with '65-'68 Impala.
  11. Either an Impala or a Buick, hard to tell in that condition.
  12. I don't want to have this turn political, that's not my intent. Just to be up front I don't much care for her politics, but that has nothing to do with my concerns. I have seen this instability in her in the last three or four news conferences I have watched. It makes me wonder if she is ill. It almost seems like she is under some kind of duress during the event - it's very odd.
  13. Actually, in an interview a GM exec (LaNeve, IIRC), said that Pontiac would become a niche performance brand for BPG "like Corvette is to Chevy". Not proof, of course, but more promising than the "grey" language in the plan itself.
  14. Carbiz: Have you read the plan yet? GMC isn't going anywhere, this is all a silly discussion, really.
  15. See above posts! It is currently 1 in 10, enough to create a depression if we lose them.
  16. Could be. But she reminds me of Reagan in his later years, the confusion on her face is plain. Also, she has to be the most nervous politician I have ever seen. She practically bolted from the room at the first hint that she might be able to. I found it to be less than confidence inspiring.
  17. There are only two realistic options for me at this point from GM. While that leaves out a great many good products, none of them come close enough to my requirements to make the list. The first is obviously my sig car (truck), the G8ST. A somehwat distant second is the Camaro SS. I love the car but have always tended to go for something a bit more unique. If I bought one, I would always feel like I had settled for something less than what I was after. Nothing else is really on my personal radar.
  18. I have to agree. My last two, and next one, new car purchases have gone to Pontiac. I can't imagine ever buying a new Buick.
  19. The delusion begins with the assumption that better drivetrains would have kept former Olds buyers within the fold. It continues with the belief that similar flawed thinking would send GMC buyers to Chevy. To even consider killing GMC, given it's sales and profit power, and see benefit in that idea, is delusional in the extreme. It makes no sense, at all.
  20. She seemed entirely confused, and a real "deer in the headlights". That makes me nervous when she is Speaker. And it seems to be the norm for her.
  21. I hope so, but I doubt it.
  22. That detail turned my stomach as well.
  23. There have been many examples where GMC took a given truck to a place that Chevy never dared - almost like tuner versions. I think that has helped GMC remain so strong in sales over the decades, it has given customers a sense of greater attention to detail vs. Chevy. This perception has even acted as a halo for the great many models that are nothing more than styling variations or badge jobs. Through the years, GMC has won in the looks category more often than not. Even I like the choice they offer when it comes to appearance - as it seems much of the public does. All of it adds up to a brand that works exceptionally well for GM's bottom line. Put it in the "odd, but true" category.
  24. As usual, SMK proves yet again that he can't see the forest for the trees. The economy and the credit crisis are the actual reasons that G8 sales are down. In fact, the G8 is currently outselling the Prius by a slim margin. To judge the viability of any car in a market as battered as this is flawed thinking.
