  1. Don't press your luck by trying it twice. Tundra is just junk, it is Toyota's worst product in recent memory.
  2. Pure ignorance. The author obviously knows nothing about how the domestics work, and only imagines that he understands the industry at all.
  3. Idiotic.
  4. Alright, this one is turning into a bit of a mystery. I did the fuel pump for the left hand tank, but it won't power-up. The right hand tank will power-up and pump gas, but then there is an immediate leak. So, I isolated the leak, and it isn't coming from any of the fuel lines or their connections. It is coming from what looks like a breather in the unit that switches the tanks. All of the fuel lines go into this unit as well as the electrical harness. This tiny, slant-cut, plastic tube comes out of the unit and spews fuel when the right hand pump is energized. I'm thinking that either the unit is bad and causing both the leak and the left hand pump not powering-up. Or there is an obstruction in the line (clogged filter maybe) and that the small tube is a pressure relief for the system. I need to pick the brains of the guys at the local Chevy shop tomorrow. Fuel pump pics: Test fit of new pump, the old one is off to the right new pump, O-ring,strainer,and lock ring ready to go Installed
  5. I know, I know. I really want to finish it, but financial reality says no. I just cleaned the dust and dirt from the frame, and the new paint still looks good - got me to thinking about all I've already put into this truck. I hate having to bail on the project when It is so close.
  6. 84.85% for me. Should have been better, but I misread a few questions.
  7. One Camaro is the "Black" SEMA showcar, and the other is a pre-pro, no production cars until February - so this is no surprise. Thanks for the reviews, guys.
  8. The bed really isn't all that bad, most of what you see is dirt and debris. The bedsides are a bit rusty at a few spots on the bottom, but I have new GM bedsides for it. The rest of the truck is nearly rust free, there is one small spot on a rocker panel and some surface rust in small spots. The floor is perfect as are the cab corners and other spots where these trucks usually rust. For most of the last ten years, this truck has been inside. I'll type up the story of the barn someday, it's a pretty good story.
  9. Not frosted. It shattered a few months ago for no apparant reason while sitting still in the same spot it had been in for several years. I don't know why it happened.
  10. Good input from almost everyone. Thanks.
  11. There is a spot in the field where we have bonfires...
  12. I think it will be interesting to do this again next year.
  13. QFT
  14. Great stuff! Keep'em coming!
  15. Nice coverage FOG, I especially like the idiot quotes.
  16. Thanks DF, that's the kind of response I'm looking for.
  17. What do you see as the "essence" of the Pontiac brand? Please keep your replies serious and avoid commenting on the current state of the brand, that's not what I'm asking here. What I'm asking is more "What should a Pontiac be? ", not "What should Pontiac do?", or "What is wrong with Pontiac?" I'm looking for a brand definition here.
  18. So true. And GM should be going after all customers with an appropriate product, for some of us a G8 is that just right fit.
  19. Read the first page of the thread, not much there of value really. But a cool way to take a different tack on getting information, Bravo!
  20. Not a bad deal.
  21. He IS high!
  22. Wow! This is one strange thread.
  23. The only thing original about the barn is the twelve feet of stone wall on three sides. The rest is new, rebuilt after burning to the ground after a lightning strike a few years ago. I was here then and it scared the crap out of me! Maybe someday I'll post the whole story.
  24. Nah.
  25. Done! http://www.cheersandgears.com/index.php?s=...st&p=447800
