  2. I think maybe we should pay this guy a visit. Check out the cars in the background. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/lancia-apia...1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. Well Reg hasn't gotten to this yet, so I'll say it. "Couch Commerce" sounds quite a bit like "Lap Dancing" to me.
  4. Sorry to hear this, Mike. For my part, I've essentially had the entire end of my season cancelled by financially wounded customers. One has even been laid-off at 62 and will have to sell her home - which even puts a hole in my springtime work as she had had plans to do quite a bit then.
  5. I see them, but then again I'm always on the hunt. I have a real soft spot for the '65.
  6. Yeah, and I wish I could sell it to someone who would finish it right. But I may end up stuck with it given the money fears everyone has. If things don't change for me, it may end up replacing the Silverado - which would kill me.
  7. In the balance between my need for the cash and what I have in it, I have landed at 4k as it sits. Otherwise, I will just finish it.
  8. I don't have a full account, so this is just the teasers for each article. Of course, you may not want to keep reading anyway. http://ebm.e.ccialerts.com/c/tag/hBJIeVoAG...&RAF_TRACK= The FLA senator is an idiot!
  9. Thanks for the vote of confidence!
  10. At this point, I'd guess that I have about 6 or 7k in the truck. I expect to have to sell it at a loss as is. Finished, I might come closer to breaking even but still lose on the total. Would you really want a 1 ton crew cab 4x4? To replace an Aura? I need to sell it , but that just seems a bit much for a DD, no?
  11. A hard lesson they must learn if the country is to recover at all. It is time for pragmatism.
  12. Spread the word!

  14. Thanks to all who have participated. For those who have not, do it! The ass you save may be your own.
  15. I prefer the sweeping lines that have almost always marked the B pillar of El Caminos. That said, the vertical one on this Olds, while very trucklike, works proportionately unlike the ugly Lincoln conversion. It isn't bad, just a bit boring.
  16. I wouldn't mind 20 of that particular bodystyle. :AH-HA_wink: I will build the Camino even if it is sold shortly afterward. I'd love to keep everything, but I've accepted the reality that cars and trucks will always come and go in my life. I like way too many to ever really stick with what I have at any given moment.
  17. Yeah, the window is the same, but I really dislike the sliding ones. Any loose debris in the bed ends up inside the cab.
  18. Anyone nearby have a rear window for one of these trucks? By CaminoLS6
  19. Go away? Not going to happen. I could see the UAW adjusting to reality and buying a stake in the company though.
  20. The Mirage is exceptionally well done.
  21. Exactly. And what's worse, they all too often destroy a rare version of the car to build this junk. Way too many SS cars have been bastardized this way. That said, I have seen a handful of these done using real skill, they remain on their original frames and the 4x4 driveline is adapted to the car. These sit like something that might have actually been built by the factory and the level of craftsmanship is high. I don't particularly care for those either, but I can respect them.
  22. That sums things up well.

  24. That would be one amazing and confusing mess.
  25. Well, I'm not ready to buy the premise. But I voted anyway.
