  1. Chant it with me: Leno, Leno, Leno...
  2. To each his own, but they look out of place and tacked-on to me. Especially being on the door only.
  3. Your Nova is a hobby car, treat it as such. :AH-HA_wink: No to the 200r4, and if you touch a manual El Camino I will find you and hurt you.
  4. If you know anyone who owns one of these, warn them! Any vehicle with this sort of structural problem is a potential deathtrap.
  5. I have yet to read an adequate explanantion. It really doesn't make much sense. Then again, the frame on my 30 year old El Camino is more substantial than the ones under these trucks.

    Should I?

Thanks KC, I've never had a handsome new dinette set before.

    Should I?

    So that means... GXP! :AH-HA_wink:
  8. Good call on the bodyside moldings. GM sort of cheaped out on them in the later 800s, Intead of thinner moldings with grooves that went along the length of the truck, they started using that fat, plain slab style on the door only. Looks like crap compared to the earlier 800s. Been tempted to yank it off of my Silverado.
  9. Yeah, got my attention too. But you know what? I like this thing. Of course, I've always had a soft spot for Healeys since trying to keep three Healey vintage racecars going for a few years. They can be fun, and the styling cues on this work for me.
  10. Nice truck. I've always liked shortbeds, but needed a long bed. I'd dump the pinstripes and wheels.
  11. Sweeping generalization, that.
  12. There was also talk of a Healy revival a while back. 3 Guesses what platform it's based on. By CaminoLS6
  13. Thanks YJ. The way I figure it, if I do quit that's 4k more in the yearly car budget. :AH-HA_wink:
  14. Toyota probably should buy all of these trucks back, rusty or not. Can you imagine when the frame fails on a truck that they deemed to be OK and someone dies? The liability risk here is huge. I found it interesting that so many of the owners are pissed that no one really makes a compact truck of this size anymore ( other than the deathbed Ranger and its Mazda clone). I think the entire industry has missed the boat on small pickups.

    Should I?

    2009, eh? GXP!
  16. Thanks for saying this, the overblown hysteria just gets on my nerves. Made it to noon without a smoke, and did it under heavy stress of other sorts. Makes me think I may succeed if I really do go for the big quit. We shall see.
  17. One of your best lines ever, you get 2 points for that.
  18. As long as I'm not what kills them in a nicotine deprived rage.
  19. Well, I've got one cigarette left. I'm not running out for more tonight, so I think I'll just smoke it and wake up without any. I'll see where that leads me, and how long I can put -off buying more. If my posts are extra grouchy and less coherent tomorrow, you'll know why.
  20. I sold that part of the fleet off.
  21. Not my sort of vehicle whatsoever, so I voted based only upon looks. The Ford won. The Old Vue looked like a Saturn to me and had a design that was packing a touch of spice. The new one, on the other hand, is bland enough to wear a Toyota badge. I really wanted to vote for the Saturn, but I just couldn't do it. Perhaps the rest of the package would change my mind, but the Edge wins the beauty contest.
  22. Two of the most hideous examples of SUV excess - good riddance to them.
  23. Also photos of dozens of the trucks in dealer back lots, with "Do not drive" stickers plastered on them. I don't think this will stay completely quiet too long, it's just too big.

    Should I?

There 's a question about it? Yeah, do it!
