  1. I would never have picked the Aurora as a classic, but Fly makes some valid points. I remember when the car debuted, it stood out in a crowded showroom as something decidedly different.
  2. Scratch that idea.
  3. Anyone else read the whole intro write-up? Whew! This thing has more features and gadgets and accessories than any 3 normal vehicles. Seems like a decent product for Dodge, with a decent exterior look, And (take notice GM) a real name.
  4. If there is a place like that year 'round, I want to go there and never leave.
  5. I don't have a problem with the "people part" of the Magnum's interior, it was the cargo area that I found lacking.
  6. Umm, it still looks tacky today IMO.
  7. Quality, not quantity. :AH-HA_wink: Congrats, Fly.
  8. What was that ugly gold-plated thing?
  9. I considered the Magnum at one point until I saw how tiny the rear section is. It's a great looking car, but lacks the utility of the wagons of yore.
  10. Simple. They have no clue and just assume everyone can stop in the same distance. That's why they also cut in front of semis on the highway.
  11. Easy. I'll take the cold - I can defend against it as needed. The heat just makes me surly - I hate it with a passion, it is inescapable.
  12. Interesting. More info. required.
  13. To each his own, but I've been driving trucks (and HDs at that) for so long that I'm totally comfortable with the way they drive. The 1500 Suburban feels like a Vette after getting out of an HD pickup, and is remarkably nimble for such a large SUV. Even so, I drive my HD Silverado more aggressively than most people drive a sportscar with complete confidence. Trucks are so much more capable as general drivers than ever before. It no longer requires any real effort to drive a truck - such was not the case before the GMT 400s in 1988.
  14. If I were to buy one, it would also be a Solstice. Not for the look or the dealership, but for the SCCA prep package!
  15. I'd add the GTO and certain F-bodies. Also the ImpalaSS and the Monte SSs from the 1980s. And all El Caminos. Minis. BMW Z8 BMW M5 and M3 Ford GT Certain Mustangs. Yeah, there will always be collectibles.
  16. Call the cops, they'll find the owners.
  17. Exactly.
  18. Nice color, but after seeing a Zo6 in black, I couldn't choose anything else.
  19. It largely hinges on the sale of a house which the local township is holding up. I'll mention it and let you know.
  20. This is deceptive though, as Solstice has actually sold more units than Sky YTD. I love both of them and have met plenty of people who have a hard time deciding which one they want. What the Solstice needs is the coupe variant, like yesterday. Sky should remain roadster only.
  21. I see why crossovers have a place in the market. But they are, by definition, compromise vehicles and I just can't make myself compromise when I buy a vehicle. I think if I really needed a people hauler, I'd get a Suburban and be done with it. Nothing beats it for utility.
