  1. I don't care for sedans, so a wagon sounds good to me. Oh, and I do like the SRX - more than any other Caddy save the XLR. Hate Escalades, I'd much rather have a Suburban.
  2. My thoughts are with you, hope you both have smooth sailing from here on out. And get some sleep - you're going to need it. :AH-HA_wink:
  3. *YAWN* Just another minivan. I'll take a wagon,please.
  4. Just don't get any on them :AH-HA_wink: Thanks man.
  5. Are you sure about that? I've been in a Colorado with a manual.
  6. I did some checking and it looks like you are right about the mirrors, it seems Buick got left out of that update.
  7. Look closely at the position of the mirrors, on most,if not all G-bodies in '87 the mirrors were moved from the position this has them in to the corner of the "A" pillar and the door's leading edge with the body of the mirror over the glass of the window. Older G-bodies had the mirrors where the car you're looking at has them. I could be wrong about the Regals, but I don't think so. Another difference is that only the '87s were intercooled.
  8. The car is an '86 or older judging by the mirrors. I have my doubts that it is even a T-type as it looks a bit off to me. Just to add to the confusion, there was also a Turbo regal that was not a T-Type as well as a T-Type that was not a turbo. Be careful, it is tough to tell from the pictures but I have my doubts about this car.
  9. I believe it was a trim package that gave a T-type the GN's painted bumpers and a few other trim items. If you ordered a black one it looked very close to the GN. The one you are looking at has chrome bumpers,so I doubt it has this option. There were quite a few options out there in those years and I can't remember all of the specifics. I would recommend finding a GN/T-Type site and doing some searching. BTW: some T-types were non-turbo cars with a 305 V8. Confusing, isn't it?
  10. My GTO had a "factory" ding in the hood so I took it back to have it fixed under warranty. The PDR guy made a complete and invisible repair in about 5 minutes. I was very pleased with the result.
  11. Until '78, Malibu was just a trim package on Chevelle. I hate it when people equate the two.
  12. Glad to hear it! And thanks.
  13. Now that I see the pic, I like that cure! But do I have to use it all on the Jag?
  14. Moving that .5 Enclave around has to be a PITA!
  15. Unlike the Cavalier, which will never be a diamond in any way, this car could well be a diamond in the rough just needing some TLC. The book value may mean little in this case. I'd say if the car is mechanically sound, and the price is below 5k, buy it. A paint job and some new wheels will do it wonders. More info. is required however.
  16. That is an unfortunate color, one that I don't think is original. While the car is pretty clean, the miles are suspect, it has been modded in unknown ways and has an intercooler which was only available in '87 ,I think. I'd keep looking.
  17. In addition to FWD here are some more of mine: No asian manufacturers: They simply don't build anything I'd want. No sedans: ( there are a tiny number of exceptions here,or have been in the past) No 4cyl cars: ( at least 2 exceptions to this rule) No overbearing option packages that preclude getting a car the way I want it. This issue (and price) are why I have a GTO and not an 04 Avalanche) A bad showroom experience A negative test drive dealer gouging (I will walk away) poor performance/responsiveness in any category German cars: Don't get me wrong I love some of them, but the pricing is beyond the pale. I'd buy used instead.
  18. The price on these varies wildly. It depends on condition, originality, mileage, and what the current owner knows about them. Invariably though, they are a better buy than a GN in equal condition.
  19. Sounds pretty good. Keep us posted, and any chance you can get pics?
  20. :rotflmao: Let's just say I had a goodly amount of a variety of beverages. :AH-HA_wink: Had a fantastic meal, good conversation, great little acoustic jamfest, and a generally fun time even though the power went out shortly before midnight and didn't come back on! Ask B&B this question.
  21. It's a puzzle all right (unless you can read Russian). The P.O. did the work, I've just stored the car for the last decade.
  22. Those are one of my favorite choices for sleeper collectible. IMO, they are worth far more than the market indicates as they are a GN in sheep's clothing. They got the GN drivetrain and a choice of color and other options the GN lacked while posessing the same legendary performance. They are also much more rare than the currently over-valued GN. If you find a decent one at a good price, buy it!
