  1. What? That would give Toyota an extra sale.
  2. Camino LS6

    RECALLED

Just be glad it's not a Maserati, mine had that problem and it was a PITA. The switch actually threads into the master cylinder and is actuated by the hydraulic pressure of the brake fluid itself!
  3. Sometimes you scare me,Ocn.
  4. To fit the bill, it would have to be domestic-owned at the time. But the P1800 is probably the most interesting Volvo ever.
  5. I was wondering when you would chime in on this,68. :AH-HA_wink:
  6. Thanks Balthazar! The car spent too much time outside to be anything resembling a "survivor". It is being restored to the finest detail though - I've seen the pics.
  7. That would be a mistake. There is a separate list for the concepts at the show.
  8. You have found the loophole, congrats!
  9. Couple of notes/responses: Empowah: maybe, clarify your choice(s) I am inclined to say no. Detroit Nut: No such thing as a '68 454 El Camino (not factory anyway) the 454 debuted in the '70 Keep the ideas rolling guys!
  10. 35k is just the limit. :AH-HA_wink:
  11. Interesting choices so far. Most are well below the 35k ceiling, but I think the GNX would bust the budget. There are a few I'm expecting to see that haven't shown-up yet.
  12. Got some stuff to do. I'll let you guys think it over and I'll check back later tonight.
  13. I like your answer! Especially if it is a 348 with Trips and a manual.
  14. Whichever floats your boat.
  15. This is just a hypothetical, not an "advice on what to buy" thread. I won't be buying anything for a while.
  16. Let's say you have 35k to spend on a "fun" car. Not a practical, logical, useful car - one that's strictly for fun. Here are the conditions: 1) has to be a one-owner car 2) new cars not eligible 3) must have very, very, low miles for the year 4) must be collectible or potentially collectible 5) must be domestic What would you buy?
  17. Here's a vote for the blue. Vomit green doesn't do it for me. :AH-HA_wink:
  18. Yep. GM is starting to sing the right tune.
  19. CTS But, I wouldn't be able to deal with any of the others because of my strong dislike of FWD. So, feel free to discount my vote.
  20. The pricks usually win - for a while. Then they piss someone off one too many times and lose BIG. The nice guys usually finish last, but they have a slew of people who have a good feling about them and will help them out when it really counts. The worst thing you can do is to force someone who is nice by nature past their breaking point. If you do, the ensuing $h!storm will take you out. It's the same thing as picking a fight with the little guy, if you push him too far he's going to kick you in the nuts so he has time to cut your throat. Little guys don't "fight fair" it just isn't an option. If you force them to fight they are going to hurt you as severely as possible. The same goes for the nice guy - don't push him past his limits, you'll regret it.
  21. It also isn't smart to reveal your battle plans to the enemy. I doubt we have seen the last of GM minivans. Even so, I doubt that minivans in general will do anything but decline in popularity.
  22. Fighting on too many fronts can lose you the war. Especially if your weapon is sub-standard. I'd call this a tactical retreat.
  23. Here's the rest of mine. Roller Derby Queen by Jim Croce Gonna tell you a story that you wont believe But I fell in love last friday evenin With a girl I saw on a bar room t.v. screen Well I was just gettin ready to get my hat When she caught my eye and I put it back And I ordered myself a couple o more shots and beers The night that I fell in love with a roller derby queen Round and round, oh round and round The meanest hunk o woman That anybody ever seen Down in the arena She was five foot six and two fifteen A bleached-blonde mama With a streak of mean She knew how to knuckle And she knew how to scuffle and fight And the roller derby program said That she was built like a fridgerator with a head Her fans call her tuffy But all her buddies called her spike You know that I fell in love with a roller derby queen Round and round, oh round and round The meanest hunk o woman That anybody ever seen Down in the arena Round and round, go round and round Round and round, go round and round Round and round Well I could not help it But to fall in love With this heavy-duty woman I been speakin of Things looked kind of bad Until the day she skated into my life Well she might be nasty She might be fat But I never met a person Who would tell her that Shes my big blonde bomber My heavy handed hackensack mama You know that I fell in love with a roller derby queen Round and round, oh round and round The meanest hunk o woman That anybody ever seen Down in the arena Round and round, go round and round Round and round, go round and round Round and round Razor: "Yes indeed and I'm Talkin" ?
  24. Hmm. GM has never built a minvan that didn't quickly find the back of the sales pack and I'm guessing that they are hedging their bets a bit here. If they don't have something stunningly good to bring to this segment, better that they stay out until they do. Toyota has enough spare cash to go tilting at windmills in segments where they are clearly outclassed (Tundra) , but GM doesn't and another minivan flop would keep them out of that game for a very long time. Maybe forever. I think that this is the right choice, right now. I also doubt that GM will be out of the minivan business for very long - witness the rumors of European GM minivans coming here. Timing and an outstanding product will be essential. Hurrying another lackluster offering into production would be far worse than bowing out for a while.
