  1. For $500, how could you go wrong with a slant six and a manual. Doesn't get much more basic or bulletproof.
  2. The hood and the paint put this one on the "do not buy" list for me. I do like how the Iroc wheels look on it though.
  3. I like both Laguna noses, but prefer the early style. If I were going to do a Laguna conversion on my Camino, I think I'd choose that one.
  4. Oh, and actual dealer cost after holdback payments used to run about 3% below the invoice price. But that info is dated, and varies, so grain of salt on that.
  5. Used to be that you could build a virtual car on many websites and see exact dealer invoice pricing, but I haven't done that lately. Usually, you can also see a virtual window sticker on dealer sites that would give you all of the option codes to plug-in to the virtual build sites. That way, you can have all of the information. When I wanted to order something, I would do the virtual build, print it out. I'd then hand it to the dealer and tell them that this was what I wanted and that I was willing to pay X-dollars above invoice (with all incentives going to me). It was my own "no-hassle" way to buy a new vehicle.
  6. BS They need to make a plan, and then stick to it. Their volume assessments should be tied to architectures, not specific bodystyles. When looked at in that way, the myopic reliance on a single bodystyle becomes absurd. This is a problem of mindset, not reality.
  7. I see them every once in a while.
  8. Oh for Christ's sake! Are we going through this mess again? Either maximize the bodystyles from each architecture, or just close up shop. F-Wall St., and build the damn cars already!

  10. Both of the ones I saw had vertical bars, but one had many closely spaced vertical bars, the other had fewer vertical bars further apart... '74 - '77 Grilles are interchangeable, as are the headlight fender caps - someone could have been playing mix and match.
  11. All black Sky redline with WARP-DRV personalized plate on RT. 252 this morning. Recently: A 30s Chevy street rod - quite nice A newish Ferrari that looked like a shooting brake - sounded great
  12. Yeah that's it, Cort. Blu: it could be quite a long wait.
  13. A little torture for us all.
  14. Man I wish! Think he'll take an NOS Vette bumper as a downpayment?
  15. I never made a study of Ghia, but even in that cropped pic this car had that signature Chrysler/Ghia look to me.
  16. Yep. Depending on the particulars, I'd even consider trading my Vette for this. Project for project.
  17. That's just cool! If it were doable for me, I'd be all over this one - I really like it.
  18. I would love to restore this one.

  21. Cool, at least my guess was somewhat on the right track.
  22. GM list $200 My best price at dealer with discount $145 Amazon $ 77 Ordered this morning. Still way overpriced, but I can live with it. EDIT: And now the old shaft becomes a priming tool.
  23. Nah, I will either find it online at a reasonable price or buy a junkyard special and raid it for what I need.
