  1. New Caravan ...car spotting around here sucks. Do car shows count?
  2. Ice cream trucks. Also, full size sedans, coupes, wagons, and hatches. Americans need to get over their preference for sitting high up and stop buying ugly crossovers.
  3. Came home to shower because campground showers are the suck. Next up: Car show and demo derby!
  4. Camping, car show.
  5. The headlights look like the MR2, though they don't look as awkward mounted lower. Also reminds me of the Sunfire, but not in a bad way (I always though the Sunfire looked like a baby Firebird.) I like it. It's still swoopy and curvy like the current Solstice but with a more aggressive stance.
  6. If only we had machines like the Raptor during the golden age of dogfighting... I want to see a Raptor vs. Firkin or Flatpack, but that will probably never happen unless Russia is really serious with its re-militarization.
  7. A guy around here drives his "Grand Camino" (Prix), '80s models on both ends... it actually looks very nice.
  8. I started out making a schematic for this in AppleWorks. I was using the proportions of the current Solstice and tracing my own body over it, and planned to use those schematics to make an isometric sketch. I've used this process for most of the other sketches I've submitted. I worked on the schematics for a couple of days but I went to the file one day and found that it had been corrupted; all the data had been erased from it. I was exasperated and could not bring myself to pursue it any further. I think there may have been a little divine intervention there because I just got bored today and slopped out my idea with hardly any reference, and I was more pleased with it than what I drew while looking at my schematics.

  11. I love the new CTS, but I don't understand all the repositioning of models. Instead of moving the CTS up, putting the B*S below it, and having a completely new car above it, why didn't they just keep them in their current slots and given them all updates? e.g., the STS would've been redesigned like the CTS was, the CTS instead would recieveing a minor update like the STS did, and the new large (RWD) sedan could just be called DTS. That way the traditional Caddy lineup would still exist, but be just as good as the new proposed one.
  12. The driver's shoes matched the interior.
  13. Corvette Grand Prix Grand Prix sedan Cadillac Brougham Seville slantback Mustang (even though it looked like an Escort) Golf
  14. w00t Lordstown gets Astra \o/ I think it's odd though that the upscale compact has no sedan/coupe and the economy compact has no hatchback. But the Astra seems of good quality and funky enough that it might become trendy or cool or something to that affect. I'd certainly want one could I afford it.
  15. "...such a complete blandness of style as to disqualify it instantly in a market where character and status count for so much."
  16. Why didn't the production charger look like this? *smacks Dodge upside the head*

  19. I wonder if they'll offer a better engine. Probably not, but I'd be happy just to have a DeLorean anyway.
  20. I agree about the tail lights. I hate the double rows of LEDs in each light on the STS; it messes with my eyes. They should light up the entire area of the lens. The only LED taillights I've liked were on the last generation DeVille, and I hate that car. Other than that, this is my favorite A&S Caddy to date.
  21. 6UL-DV8 A buddy of my Dad's has that on one of his Austin-Healeys. (Not registered, of course.)
  22. Went to a car show at the Packard museum last sunday. The two cars that grabbed my attention were not in the show, but in the parking lot. The first I noticed while coming in was a Chrysler/Maserati TC convertible. From a ways away it looks merely like a dressed up LeBaron (and it pretty much is), but it's a truly nice car, especially on the inside. Upon leaving, my eye was caught by the rear end of a sports car snuggle in between the daily drivers. I did a double take and realized that it was indeed a new Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
