  1. Impala is 73 inches wide 200 inches long. 2 Chevys exactly the same size would'nt be cost effective. Developing Vehicles to compete with each other in the same showroom. One platform Either RWD with Very Cheap AWD (Price around 24k). Or FWD with Rear Biased Awd . The RW platform with AWD has to hit very near Base FWD price. Or Volume will max at around 100k. (compared to Impalas 240k). FW platform can reach Volume and get a premium for Rear Biased Awd. If They Can Do Zeta with progressive on demand AWD, get 30-35 mpg highway, for $24-$25k Move Impala over. If Not be prepared to cut Volume in Half.
  2. Then you play with the formula to much. 73 inches wide, 200 inches long is generating volume. Although its suffering from a Boring redesign. Still almost Twice the Chrysler 300c sales wise. I think if there is a next Malibu. It said to be a Reskinned Aura. 112 WB but still only about 70 inches wide, 190 inches long.
  3. It depends upon size. It seems Sigma-zeta has a max wheelbase about 116 inches. And a Width of 73 inches. If you want a Caprice Size Vehicle,Lambda with a wheelbase of 119. and a Width of 79 inches is a better match. That However is to big For Impala. Good Match for Deville though.
  4. If the Weight and layout would sell with the Lambda Crossovers. I can't see it as a detriment to sedan sales. Its what the Next Impala and Deville should be.FWD/ Awd Lambda Sedans.
  5. I think It would be relatively easy and cheap. All you would be changing is the rear third of the Body. Everything else- components etc.. would be the same.
  6. Here's a question. This is Eric Bitter's CD2 concept. Built off of the Curent Holden Monaro/GTO platform. Why did GTO come out so boring?
  7. Did Auto Express Make a photochop attempt at the outlook? For Vauxhall?
  8. SO GMT900's are a leadoff single. Aura is at least a Triple. Well this is a Homerun.
  9. Near the Mexican Border? http://www.gm.com.mx/content_data/LAAM/MX/...ado/diseno.html
  10. The U.A.W. has shown with Delphi they are'nt backing down. Look at the Healthcare concessions. Its set off a wave of growing militants.
  11. Who Knows really. For all we know Patac could have picked up the Zeta developement. For all we know Zeta could be coming out of Shanghai. For all we know the Trailblazer and Envoy could be coming out of Thailand. The Malibu out of Korea. The Ion out of Poland, or Brazil. If GM wants to betray America.
  12. There are some new spyshots of the VE Commodore, and WM Statesman. http://www.carspyshots.net/zerothread?id=15574&page=3

  14. In this thread the Ion was Said to be dead as a doornail. The Eternal footmen was eyeing the NG Malibu. In other threads Trailblazer/Envoy - cancelled Zeta-Cancelled SRX-Cancelled The MCE Cobalt is'nt really a new launch. And the next VUE may not be a GMNA vehicle The Only Certain 2007 launch GMNA vehicle other then Lambda's, that has'nt been said somewhere here to be dead, cancelled or work stoped was the CTS.

  16. What are your choices? Best Concept? Best Production? Using Autonews, as to what was concept. What was production. http://www.autonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/sect...ory=detroit2006 My Votes Best Concept Buick Enclave. They flat out Nailed it! Best Production Mercedes GL
  17. If the new standards do take into account heavier stop and go traffic,The Hybrids will gain a greater advantage on gasoline cars.
  18. What Pontiac needs is one Sharp Car above the G6, that Will Attract all. Bonnie Drivers,Grand Prix drivers, and GTO devotees. like the talked about 4 door coupe. Look at it like this. G8 Call the Base G8 Grand Prix, Call the Lux trim G8 Bonneville, Call The High po version G8 GTO. Size it like the STS. Give it an inexpensive AWD option . Progressive on Demand NVG 247 maybe.
  19. Chevrolet Camaro Receives Best Concept Implementation Award http://www.autodeadline.com/detail?source=...051657&mime=JPG
  20. I have a suspicion there won't be any 2008 MY GMNA launches. I suspect that after One of the Lambdas, it will be awhile. I suspect there is a tempest brewing in 2007.With nothing new being planned for GMNA in that time frame. I suspect there was a realization plants may stop running in 07. And that timing launches for that time was pointless. Just my suspicion. GM may be building a Fallout shelter.
  21. Good Question. Almost Every plant that was'nt announced for closure, has product for a few years. Springhill - Ion line shutsdown. Vue Line Continues. Fairfax- Malibu and Aura Orion- G6 D-Ham- Lucern and DTS Delta Town- Enclave,Outlook,Acadia Wilmington - Solstice and Sky Oshawa 1 - Impala and Monte Carlo Moraine- Trailbazer and Envoy Lansing Grand River - CTS-STS-SRX Ramos Arizipe - HHR and ?
