  1. Looks like an Art Deco LocomoTive
  2. The Car That I thought Kappa was Ideal for was this Autobild chop. A Crossfire like GT
  3. That One Looks Like Centieme meets Velite.
  4. Hmm that one looks like an Antara rear.
  5. Whether its Called Corvette Stingray or Chevy Stingray. It's the car that makes Kappa Viable.
  6. Make that three threads :) I'm surprised the Mods never merge Duplicate threads. http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...?showtopic=4487 http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...?showtopic=4350
  7. Now I'm not one of the Camaro fanatics. But If they want a Real Bang. "whoever" will walk to the podium, pause, Turn , then In the Darkness behind an Engine will turnover. Then Bam! Curtain up. Kinda Dramatic aint I :)
  8. Even though I won't be there. I can do without Lutz stunt double bits. Is such Theatre really needed? Does'nt it distract from the Vehicles?
  9. Engine Flex Fuel E85 Capable 3.5 litre 60 degree OHV V6 3 Valves per Cylinder 2 valves cam driven 1 Intake , 1 Exhuast (Current VVT setup) 1 Camless Electrohydrualic variable Intake Valve Centrally located Spray Guided Direct Injection Variable Intake Induction Combustion assisted Start Stop Transmission Six Speed Dual Clutch Automated Manual Packaged as a Automatic with a Common Automatic Shifter Layout Transverse Front wheel Drive With Esp controlled on Demand Awd All Wheel Drive Would Engage only in ESP emergency with Torque Bias determined by ESP And on Takeoff off from Stop with 60% rear Torque Bias Most Cruising as 2 wheel FWD I figure between the engine changes and the tranny I 've got 25% better Fuel economy then the current 3.5 + 4 speed auto. I lose Some do to the AWD, but if it could be setup to operate in FWD 80% of the time...
  10. If the Front end could be more like the early 90's Grand prix 2 Door. http://www.easy-loader.com/pictures/32/1027.jpg Maybe its the Lower Fascia in the Motor trend renderings that I don't like.
  11. from autoscoops, carspyshots, and someone named jesse's photobucket. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y296/ef0n...se/File0116.jpg
  12. umm there is a rather attractive rendering, of a Chevy Kappa floating around. accompanied by text attributed to motor trend. It is supposedly to be named after a member of the shark family. And be equiped with the either the 3.9 or 3.6
  13. Building Opels here would be fine. Closing U.S. plants and Importing them is a problem.
  14. That drawing is Butt Fugly. This came up in a google search. http://images.google.com/images?q=2008++gt...en&lr=&safe=off It seems a similar theme. Is that another PM rendering? Motor Trend? http://mx.autos.yahoo.com/050524/52/1g10t.html Take away that God awfull Front end and the rest of the sheet metal reminds of this. http://blogsimages.skynet.be/images/000/57...d4bec7703db.JPG
  15. With the right powertrain this would have sold.
  16. Just another Econobox :AH-HA_wink:
  17. Where did you find that? I've looked all over. If it is Springhill Thats very cool!
  18. So where is this engine going to be built?
  19. I hope that Engine is U.S. Built. Certainly GM can't Take D.O.E. Research grants(U.S. Tax Dollars) Then Turn around and Import High Technology engines. If That is the Case I would expect GM to withdraw from the D.O.E. HCCI program and Return Research Funds.
  20. The packaging potential of DCT seems fantastic. It could be packaged as a straight Automatic. People would never know they were driving an Automated Manual. It could be packaged as a manual. You could even put a dummy clutch pedal on the floor. As an SMG . It's a really good way to move the 4 speed autos and 5 speed manuals into even lower volume. (as long as the DCT's are U.S. built)
  21. Didn't it reach a point where it looked like- GMX 386 is on and will be some sort an Aura clone? On Ep1 with Ep2 for both delayed? But that the lordstown Gmx002 ION is dead.
  22. Reading what I have about the technology. It would be expensive to convert an AT plant to DCT. Since they have to be built in the U.S. The Getrag North Carolina plant that supplies MT for the Sigma's seem a logical choice. The Magna powertrain (formerly NVG) Plants would also be good choices. Maybe a DCX-GM- Magna joint DCT effort. For Front and Rear wheel drive. Is'nt a NVG tranny being modified for the 2 mode hybrid program? I don't think GM powertrain has any U.S. MT plants? And Importing is Right out. (F40 be damned)
  23. Getrag will be Building D.C.Trannys for Ford. Will they build G.M.'s? RWD DCT's at Getrags N.C. plant would be cool. Maybe Transverse DCT's at Magna powertrains N.Y. plant ! :P
  24. What a Dual Clutch transmission is From Autozine. http://www.autozine.org/technical_school/g...gear_manual.htm
