Nice to see one in red w/ a sunroof. I drove several of these as rentals back in the day, liked the styling of these more than the successor. They drove quite pleasantly IIRC.

Yeah, I have a coworker that lives in downtown Pittsburgh and heard this morning her building has a generator but it's been on and off...

2024 Toyota Prius HEV LE model - 3 days of motoring
Robert Hall replied to trinacriabob's topic in Reader Reviews
A coworker recently bought one of these... after seeing them in person, I'd characterize the styling as if Lamborghini made an economy hatchback. It's a sleek shape with a lot of Lambo in the profile and front. My coworker is 5'7", we had an local happy hour a few weeks ago I drove down to Akron and met up w/ my coworkers I hadn't seen in 6 months (as we all work from home), and I rode a few miles in his new Prius..at just under 6'0" my head was right into the roof glass...tight inside. Neat looking little car, though. -
My sister used to work out there at Conoco Phillips...did a consulting contract for a couple of years that had her flying between Phoenix, Bartlesville, OK (in and out of Tulsa airport) and Houston most every week. Said the drivers on I-10 outside Houston were among the worst she'd seen..

Tariff Tuesday - Buick Killing it in China; Killed in the U.S.
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Opinion
No, Buick today is just a bunch of ugly generic CUVs. Nothing unique or memorable, just bland appliances. Likely well built and reliable, but 0% style. Buick has lost the plot. I'll admit I'm a bit older, but to me these are Buicks...the new stuff has zero appeal to me. -
Kia News: Kia EV4 Brings New Affordability to the Electric Vehicle Market
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Kia
The C-pillars and roof vents (or whatever those lumps above the rear window are) look very awkward in photos. Can see the relationship to the current K4 in profile (the greenhouse), but differently bulged up lower body.- 13 replies

Subaru News: Subaru Reveals new 2026 Subaru Trailseeker
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Subaru
I'm not willing to wait in line at my local Costco (a couple miles away). They always have big lines on the weekend when I drive past. I usually get gas at BP if I'm getting onto I-90, Shell if I'm getting off of I-90, or at Marathon if I'm getting off I-271--I only get gas if it's on the same side of the street I'm on so I can avoid left turns..;) Filled up the Jeep for the first time in a month this past weekend... working out of the house I drive so little during the week.- 30 replies

Had a relaxing weekend at the lake, albeit still a bit cold... highs only in the low 40s. But sunny in the afternoons, great sunsets. Saturday night about 8pm...last pic is the 'pink' moon at about 9pm Sat. Crazy spring weather..70 and sunny at home yesterday afternoon, 43 and rain today. Got to wash the Caddy, it got a lot of mud on it on one backroad near the lake where they were logging.

I watch his videos also..fun stuff.

Yeah. Just been busy with work this year. Took a couple days off to get away. Going to do some hiking and strolls along the trails of the park. The lake was stormy today..view from my room.

Took a couple days off to stay at state park lodge on Lake Erie. Alas, today was rainy and dreary. Supposed to be dry and warmer then next 3 days. Had a beach parking lot all to myself this afternoon.

Speaking of origin of parts, reading the window sticker 26% of the parts on my Cadillac came from China, 22% from Mexico, 38% from the US/Canada.

Just not good enough at being a motor vehicle period...just hideous, shoddily built chod..

The M8 coupe looks so much like a Mustang in profile... I like the previous M6 Gran Coupe from about 10 years ago.. It's too bad Cadillac doesn't have a coupe and 4 seat convertible...something small based off the CT4 and/or a midsize CT5 based one would be great. I wish GM had built a production version of the gorgeous El Miraj concept.

One thing I've noticed w/ the high beltlines is I can't rest my elbow on the window sill anymore...with my Jeep and Cadillac compared to older GCs and Cadillac sedans. But I rarely have the windows down much w/ A/C.

Hopefully to the crusher/shredder.

There was one at the Tesla lot a couple miles from my house yesterday... though it was over when I went by there on my way to buy dog food and supplies.

Mine will be one of my Cadillac road trips w/ plenty of relaxing Carolina September beach time, like last year but going further south. My sister's will involve flying to NYC, then to Paris, a couple days in Paris, then a motor coach tour to Normandy, Brittany, etc. Should be fun. I need to get back across the pond myself in the next few years.

I like the '67 Fords a lot..great looking cars from '65-68. I also like the '69-72 quite a bit also. My sister is taking a 7 day tour of Northern France in September, including Normandy, Brittany, Mont-St-Michel, and Cherbourg. The week before that I'm taking a week off and going down to Myrtle Beach, Beaufort SC and Savannah GA....staggering our vacations so there is always someone home w/ the dogs...
