Had a relaxing weekend at the lake, albeit still a bit cold... highs only in the low 40s. But sunny in the afternoons, great sunsets. Saturday night about 8pm...last pic is the 'pink' moon at about 9pm Sat. Crazy spring weather..70 and sunny at home yesterday afternoon, 43 and rain today. Got to wash the Caddy, it got a lot of mud on it on one backroad near the lake where they were logging.

Speaking of origin of parts, reading the window sticker 26% of the parts on my Cadillac came from China, 22% from Mexico, 38% from the US/Canada.

Genesis News: Genesis Reveals Gran Coupe and Gran Convertible Concepts at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show
The M8 coupe looks so much like a Mustang in profile... I like the previous M6 Gran Coupe from about 10 years ago.. It's too bad Cadillac doesn't have a coupe and 4 seat convertible...something small based off the CT4 and/or a midsize CT5 based one would be great. I wish GM had built a production version of the gorgeous El Miraj concept.

There was one at the Tesla lot a couple miles from my house yesterday... though it was over when I went by there on my way to buy dog food and supplies.

Mine will be one of my Cadillac road trips w/ plenty of relaxing Carolina September beach time, like last year but going further south. My sister's will involve flying to NYC, then to Paris, a couple days in Paris, then a motor coach tour to Normandy, Brittany, etc. Should be fun. I need to get back across the pond myself in the next few years.

I like the '67 Fords a lot..great looking cars from '65-68. I also like the '69-72 quite a bit also. My sister is taking a 7 day tour of Northern France in September, including Normandy, Brittany, Mont-St-Michel, and Cherbourg. The week before that I'm taking a week off and going down to Myrtle Beach, Beaufort SC and Savannah GA....staggering our vacations so there is always someone home w/ the dogs...

Genesis News: Genesis debuts a Long Wheelbase G90 Black Edition
I saw a black regular wheelbase G90 at the post office recently. It’s a sharp car. But I prefer the styling of my black CT6 parked a couple spaces over. As far as current luxobarges, I like the Audi A8 styling over the other Germans.

Genesis News: Genesis debuts a Long Wheelbase G90 Black Edition
It's one of those tiresome, overdone trends...like black wheels or gray houses with black window trim. I'd assume the LWB G90 has a demand in S. Korea. In a world full of dull CUVs and SUVs, though, it is nice to see someone making a full size sedan...the LWB version has a 132.7 inch wheelbase.

Yes. I don't mind the black on black w/ my CT6 because I have plenty of shiny bits inside and out and some other color inside w/ the wood trim. I couldn't stand everything black.

Interesting...I like the look of the G90 exterior and interior... don't really care for the monochromatic treatment, though. I like this G90 interior color scheme more..

What Are You Listening To?
Yes. My company is about 50% remote in the US and 50% in Plano. They just acquired a small company in NYC. They are building a GCC in Mumbai, so it will be interesting how much future work goes offshore.

What Are You Listening To?
As one employed by a growing Texas fintech (albeit w/ mostly California Silicon Valley C-level management), I'm a bit conflicted by the Texas aspect of my employer...but I do like my core Ohio group of the company (my department is mostly an Ohio and Colorado team that was acquired by the Texas company 3 years ago) and really don't interact much w/ the Texas teams.

What Are You Listening To?
I've never been to Austin..but heard good things about the food and music scene there. About the only place in Texas I've spent a few days in is Plano, and that's been for work. So much sprawl around the DFW area. I had an interview and job offer in Addison 25 years ago, but decided to move to Denver instead (was living in Colorado Springs at the time).

What Are You Listening To?
I remember reading she lived in Austin, Tx for a while in the 70s, knew Stevie Ray Vaughan when he was an up and coming guitarist in the local music scene there...a lot of great blues musicians came out of Texas.

I remember Allegiant used to fly in and out of Mesa Gateway Airport instead of Sky Harbor in the Phoenix area. Never flown them. I flew Frontier a lot when I lived in Colorado (they were Denver based 20 years ago), flew Southwest a lot then and when I lived in Arizona. I've flown very little since moving back to Ohio in 2017, doing more road trips than flying. I like Delta and American.
