  1. Given that he lives in Amish country, maybe he can speak Amish German...
  2. Great strudel, great beer, great cars....
  3. Yard guys came and went...now the pile out front is bigger...piles all up and down the street...the city vacuum trucks supposed to come by this week...
  4. My backyard...lots of leaves, lots of nuts.
  5. I need to do that with the backyard. I did dump a bunch of soil and reseeded several areas in September and that looks good, but the whole thing needs aerated... I have a couple bald spots at the back of the yard by the fence under the trees because they get so little sunlight and often is underwater after big storms.. this time of the year the backyard is covered in leaves and nuts..so many nuts from the trees.
  6. Not sure if that is allowed in my neighborhood. I wouldn't do it because the smoke would be hell for my allergies. I can use my leaf blower and leaf vacuum/mulcher for only about 5 min at a time before the vibration gets to me (intense pain in my arm and back from using it)...
  7. Ugh...my yard guys should be here later today to blow them into a large pile on the tree lawn, the city is supposed to be around sometime this week w/ the vacuum trucks to pick them up...
  8. 6th day in a row w/ high over 70...first time since 1956 for NE Ohio, very unusual. Beautiful weather...lots of leaves..
  9. could be that.. I don't use bookmarks, just auto complete, something may be saved...
  10. Here you go...strange, eh? Not a big deal..if I click the icon to the left of the + it shows the latest unread content. This just seems to be the default I'm getting. Maybe it was picking up the Random Threads link. I see this if type in the URL directly rather than let it auto-fill...looks fine.
  11. Beautiful fall day, took a drive through a park and saw a gorgeous white '61 Cadillac convertible, rolling top down. Also a sharp red '74-77 Corvette.
  12. Happy Birthday, Drew!
  13. Spotted this wildly modified for off roading old ZJ GC across the street.

  15. I haven’t eaten in a restaurant since the first week of March, also was the last time I went to a public event (a Dave Mason concert in Kent). Haven’t been to a grocery since then either. Since I work from home and get everything delivered, I can do this indefinitely. Though I hope I don’t have to...really avoiding being indoors around other people. Being an early adopter of Amazon Prime, Instacart, DoorDash and Uber Eats in the before time made not going out pretty painless for me.
  16. With those light clusters, it's the refreshed 2010. The 4.0 was replaced w/ the 3.7 Duratec V6 in 2011...
  17. aftermarket decal? The base engine in the Mustang was a 4.0 V6 from '05-10.
  18. Yes, beautiful area... drove up to Lake George and Saratoga Springs in a Mitsubishi Diamante rental on a long weekend in Albany back around 2001. So beautiful up there in the fall. Oh yeah..I don't think it's that way everywhere, but county sheriffs are very politicized in many places in the US>..
  19. I think is the first I've heard of National.
  20. Samba
  21. I'm glad I had the opportunity to fly on 747s on British Airways several times during the '00s...flew on BA 777s also, but the 747 is my favorite...flew on them to Hawaii also. I wish I had had an opportunity to fly on Pan Am...my folks and siblings flew on Pan Am 707s from Cleveland to San Francisco to Hawaii then not sure what on to Guam and other parts of the Pacific during their years abroad in the 60s...(a few years before I was born). IIRC, my first flight was Miami to Tampa on Eastern in 1984...
  22. ^ I definitely want to explore more of New York and the Northeast/New England...I've seen the parts of the Midwest that interest me, have little interest in the South or plains, and have seen a lot of the West over the years...
  23. And probably a lot of custom 'mil-spec' parts that you can't find from normal GM suppliers...
  24. Each vehicle is probably $50k and the rest of the cost is paperwork, overhead, fees, etc...
  25. Fascinating... https://www.hemmings.com/stories/2020/11/04/a-30-year-old-aerospace-engineer-on-using-obsolete-machines-as-a-relief-from-high-technology?refer=hccweekly&utm_source=hccweekly&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2020-11-04
