  1. Keep in mind this is in China, so it's a new nameplate there...and it's a nameplate that has been dormant for 30 years in the US. It's a perfect name for an EV---Electra-> Electric... GM has a history of repurposing names also, even moving them across brands...Astro, Blazer, Calais, Safari, Trailblazer, etc... and since Electra has been dormant for 30 years, it makes sense to use it again for the future, esp. since the name is so evocative of Electric.
  2. Not in that form, but a toned-down for production version would be plausible. This is as in they said in the olden days a 'dream car' or concept.
  3. Trucks are driven professionally for 8-10 hours a day or more, everyday--cars far less on average, so its a different usage scenario.
  4. rate
  5. Keep in mind M-B's impl is in an Actros semi truck...very different driving experience than a car or SUV. A very different use case.
  6. I'd steer clear of anything requiring valve adjustments...
  7. Model S is not on the list...not in the top 20, presumably.
  8. Pretty girl and a Buick in a very Ohio looking setting...
  9. ^ Neat..I had to do some googling to determine the specific year..I thought it was an early 50s Lincoln or Mercury..it was the taillights that nailed the marque and year. Looked like this, more of an olive green.
  10. While driving through my neighborhood I spotted a garage door open that I hadn't seen open before, with a pale green '54 Mercury and a black Lincoln MKS inside...
  11. Sweet...sounds like a good deal.
  12. I figured that was what you meant, just chose not to address it and play it literal... I'm not sure the significance of Balthy's non sequitur comment, though.
  13. Yes, both are fine.
  14. Looks like a '68-69 Skylark.
  15. Watched a BB King documentary last night, and this was stuck in my head this morning.. and this I saw him and Buddy Guy in concert about 25 years ago, he was great live..
  16. Yeah, that's a '76 Dodge Coronet Bro-ham...
  17. Saw a Tesla a couple of years ago with the license plate 'GARBGE'. I figured that either the driver was a fan of the band Garbage, was in the waste management business, or was named Bob Garbage or something like that.
  18. Those truck beast things are hideous...the Denali badged monster truck looks like a mutant Silverado HD. Love the Caprice image.
  19. Americans in general are too ignorant and self-absorbed to be able to think about the big picture of any issue..
  20. I think when I'm older I wouldn't mind living in a city and walk and use public transport to get around to museums, restaurants, theaters, etc and have a fun car for the weekends to go to the beach or the mountains.
  21. Yes, .these compact CUVs are just generic appliances for generic people...nothing for a car enthusiast, just point A to point B products for the masses....
  22. Park (from Paisley Park, Prince's home and studio in Chanhassen, MN)
  23. Nice day here in Cleveland. Sunny, not too warm, low humidity. Working on the patio...
  24. Pretty much the same size as the CX-5, CR-V, Escape and Equinox. Would be interesting to see a comparison in terms of real world usability, range, interior space, cargo capacity, performance, etc... I guess the question is the novel powertrain worth the substantial price hike when comparing equivalent trim levels and content. Just another commodity generic CUV, nothing special, just a lease appliance...
  25. Yeah, they've already gone through their regular A-Z names this season and looped around starting with Alpha then Beta...
