  1. Do you have a local Craigslist Dodgefan? I hope your evap coil is easy to swap, I know a few I've seen in late model cars have been a bit on the PITA side.....
  2. To be honest, I would rather see the Holdens just imported, why rebadge them? I like alot of the Holden stuff over the years, the performance Holdens are nice cars.
  3. I love you UNCONDITIONALLY Satty. Now... EAT YOUR VIRUS!
  4. LOL I hope so. They are discontinued.
  5. I saw that, pretty surprising IMO. I'm a bigger fan of the present Mustang than the one that's gonna come out for 2010. I like the Mustang better the way it is. It will be interesting to see the Camaro sales numbers, they shouldn't be restricted like the first year Challenger production numbers were, they will be selling out of the gate fairly quick I would think....
  6. I'm still worried about the hair in your bum Satty....??!
  7. Who said they believe you have hair in your bum? (Is that your "special place?!?!) Cars over the years have sold for all sorts of reasons, CHEAP PRICE being a really good motivator. :AH-HA_wink: ALL cars are not "enthusiast" cars, and poor excuses for cars have sold well over time, 20 years ago, 10 years ago, and today. In large numbers. Trust me. (Here! )
  8. I think the new LXs are going to be important, but the Chrysler lineup is pretty danged impressive of late IMO. The base entry level cars are the only wart..
  9. The article DOES have a few points, the main one I got which I agree upon being The biggest thing with any of the domestics IN MY OPINION is the IMAGE. The media seems to like to push an "import superiority" image as far as vehicles go, and until the domestics can break through that I think they are all in for a tough time. The public PERCEPTION is just as important as the PRODUCT.
  10. Am I on crack, or are you guys on crack...? Take a Toyota Corolla, or a Pontiac Aztec, or a Mazda 323, or a Ford Fiesta, etc etc etc.... I wouldn't look twice at any of them, I don't like their stying, I think they are terrible to drive and would prefer to not have any one of them for a daily driver. They still sell Corollas, Aztecs, 323s, Fiestas etc, and IN GREAT NUMBERS. Transportation is just transportation for millions of people, obviously.....? :AH-HA_wink:
  11. We have three of our six recent GM work vehicles in and out of the shop with troubles, one of them is MINE! Arghh! I had a transmission go when the van was less than a year old, at least it was covered under warranty. We had a 3/4 ton truck see it's engine disintegrate on the highway, the engine was eventually replaced under warranty but our dealership TRIED to get out of it. My wipers fell apart on Thursday, I took off the plastic cover, the wiper arm pivot bracket is held on with two terrible quality looking screws. I mean WAS held on.... lol To be fair my sister owns a Camry, she pushes imports like no tomorrow, and hers not only burns ALOT of blue but it has broken down in front of my house a couple of times.
  12. Swapping the engines in that scenario will give you more cubes as well as a gearing advantage. It would be a harder accelerating car then the 3.5 donor vehicle if you use your 3.89 (stock 2.7) gears. Have a look at this Dodgefan... http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151694
  13. Tossed on the 235/60/15s to see how it sits, I think it's pretty close to where I want it. I'm just gonna rip the rear apart, redo everything I can, and put it back together.
  14. To be honest Dodgefan I haven't worked on newer stuff, nor V6 cars. That being said, the best approach would seem to me to get a donor 3.5 car with a good drivetrain if you wanted to do a swap. That would eliminate EXPENSIVE parts chasing. Lots and lots of little parts can add up fast! I've done what I thought were going to be "easy" swaps in the past and they turned into financial nightmares. Nickels and dimes turn into dollars FAST! I'll look into your thread when I get back in and see if my buddies know anything, a few were Chrysler techs when those Intrepids were new..
  15. V8 engine swaps, pretty familiar. Dodge V8 engine swaps VERY familiar. lol What are you thinking of doing?
  16. Haha SOMEBODY had to do it. :AH-HA_wink: I'm gonna redo the rear suspension and brakes and toss some slightly bigger tires on the back...
  17. Haha! If ya lived close.... :AH-HA_wink: Hopefully I can get somebody in the passenger seat taking a video when it's up and running and on the road. I wanna see if I can wrap the speedo... it's a 140+ mph car stock so it will take a bit of engine work, but I'm hoping! More pics to come, it might not be a showroom flawless looker but it should be a performer, if all goes as planned....
  18. The front suspension and brakes are redone, just needs an alignment. Now on to the rear! I have to redo the brakes, cleanup the suspension and hopefully drop the rear about 1/2".... then it's on the road.
  19. LOL Grrreat, now reg, Satty and SMK etc are gonna start the "Chryota" comments and "Hondsler" insults...
  20. It's actually a decent looking car IMO while still standing out in a crowd. I like it..
  21. I see where you are coming from this time reg! Another automaker should ALSO not expect people to want to "bail them out" due to weak efforts.... Know what I mean....??!?! :AH-HA_wink:
  22. I've heard the 300 and Charger redesigns will be more "cab forward" styled than the proposed pics above. I truly want to see what they will ACTUALLY look like, not a design rendering. I still remember the "MaxxCab" or whatever it was being called the "next generation Ram". And it wasn't. :AH-HA_wink: The Durango went from good to worse to bad, not good to bad to worse. The first redesign was the worst IMO.... the 2004. Yuck! The 2007 (?) refresh was better than the 2004, for me anyways. Anddd..... reg...? Are you posting drunk again? lol
