  1. LOL I try!!! I got three sets of Alpine speakers on boxing day and replaced the originals, the stereo is now modern and can even play.... CDs!!! haha I am presently picking up.... *gasp* speed parts! It already has headers and a custom exhau$t, I've got strange plans.... Also looking for some aluminum dually mags for my new 16" dually radials that are on my other motorhome... I found some I like for $629 + shipping, which is pretty cheap. Updates to come. LOL
  2. LOL!!! Funny you should say that.... haha More pics to come....
  3. 22 feet of project to be exact! I figured I needed a "more mature" motorhome so I picked this up- 48,000 original miles and a slightly warmed over 440, new tires, everything is actually great shape EXCEPT the last owner threw out the sofa and swivel chairs. So I'm plugging away and making lists, but drivetrain will be the most important upgrade as far as I can tell....
  4. It's a D8 sedan. There will be lots of pics soon, but here's one to tide you over: This is the day it arrived, and my parents posing with it. Wow, what a cool car, and it looks like it is in great shape too!!!!!!!
  5. My brother had a nice 56 Chrysler for years, and I'm an E type lover..... COOOOL pics.
  6. What body style is it? Any pics??
  7. Yup! lol Thanks 66stang! Nice Charger in your sig pic!
  8. Beautiful car! Sad to see you part with it too, but somebody is gonna enjoy it. Good luck on the sale!
  9. Sounds darned good to ME!!!!!! I'm sure once it gets on the road I will have a house or two for sale nearby !
  10. Just gotta toss the Charger back together, then it's back on my Coupe.... I have to hook up my air compressor still before I can get going in full swing...! ARGHH!
  11. I moved at the end of last year, the new place has a shop out back.... I had to dig and sort and build and organize.... but I got it out in the light. IT LIVES!!!!!!! After the Charger.... I'll get back at it. I have the room now to finish it.
  12. My wife wanted a brand new Caliber when they came out, so we went and looked and took one for a test drive. The tranny is one thing- constant velocity or something, it doesn't shift but constantly changes rpms.... like a snowmobile... Works ok if you give the car more gas than you think you should, but it felt very odd to me. I didn't like the car because I don't like a "cheap feeling economy car" type car. We got in, and upon closing the doors I was already starting to make up my mind. Felt like a pizza delivery car! No weight to the doors, no solid interior cabin type feel, it felt like an (*gasps*) import compact car!! Not being a lover of small economy cars, and figuring we were going to keep what we bought for a few years, I insisted my wife test drive Magnums. We LOVE our Magnum R/T, had it for 4+ years. No regrets whatsoever!!!
  13. The next Viper is supposed to be 650-700 hp. NO blower, just a bit more displacement and a lot more technology. If I were a betting man, I would say closer to 650 than 700, but you never know. The Viper was never "cancelled" as many on the internet thought. The Jalopnik link was misread by many and started rumor after rumor. The looks of the Viper are also changing, so who knows what the future will bring!
  14. I liked the second gen Dakotas, nice looking and nice to drive, but still a little gas thirsty as 5.2 or 5.9 versions. When the "new" Dakotas came out I lost interest. They were boring looking. They weren't much different mechanically from the years before, but the boxy look just didn't appeal to me. We rented a truck in 2008 or 2009. We went to pick it up... a nice shiny red new style Dakota CrewCab. Boxy, boring styling, we were renting and didn't care. We had the truck for one week. We LOVED it. We didn't want to take it back!!! It drove nice, was very comfortable, decent on gas, very useful, I almost thought of buying one. Until I got out and looked at it. lol It was just boring looking. They are actually nice trucks, but in a wrapper that makes many lose interest, IMO. If I could find one dirt cheap I would buy it and toss my utility trailer!
  15. THICK electrical wire! It ain't goin NOWHERE! LOL We used to street race all the the time, about 30 years ago we were racing 25 miles from our place, the front of the cam disintegrated while we were racing. We stole a garden hose from a nearby house. (Is the statute of limitations up? Maybe I shouldn't say that!) We started towing the car home. The hose broke. We shortened it and towed some more. Hose broke again! We started out with 25 feet between the cars, ended up with a TWO FOOT chunk of hose. We were towing 30-40 miles per hour!! Never been known for doing things the safe way....
  16. LOL! I'm OLD!!!!! I'm not used to the NEW ways! I was at a guy's house the other day and he couldn't get his car running. I opened up the points, cranked it over and it fired right away. He had NO point gap. The kids hanging around asked how I got it running, so I told them it had no point gap. Not ONE of them knew what points were! None had ever heard of them! I find that very odd!!!
  17. BTW- my wife didn't think I was funny when she saw the rear tires.... 12.50 ET Streets. LOL She knows what's coming.... She saw the engine last night... didn't say much! hahaha I have to get this together and running, then my garage and Coupe are next! (I'm a slowpoke!)
  18. Thanks guys! I am NO expert on the first generation Chargers, that's for sure! This is actually a BUCKET seat car with a weird flip down center piece, I think it's called a "buddy seat" or something. Looks like a bench but it isn't!!?! I have since heard the headrests are really rare. LOL The rear seat folds down, the rear trunk separation folds also, and the center console in the rear folds down. One big flat space for some reason or other.... ! The whole interior is actually pretty good. Good enough for a driver for sure, it's no show car though!
  19. Nothing for the last 5 weeks! I broke my foot! Wish I didn't, I would be driving it already if I didn't!! The Jensen was under $12,000 in total, and this car isn't expensive at all. Much less investment than you would think! I'm a pauper, I swear!!!
  20. Interior is in good shape, but a little on the Grandpa side of things... lol
  21. Until I got my paws on it... It'a got new super stock springs, dual exhaust out the rear, 4.01 sure grip, adjustable pinion snubber, driveshaft safety loop. front end is redone, disc brake conversion, upgraded fuel system from the pickup through the reg, 2400 stall, rebuilt 727 auto, rad support opened up for a big rad..... now I'm about to toss in another gas saving environmentally friendly mill....
  22. Bought this one a few monthas ago, and I've been busy.... It's extremely solid, been parked indoors all it's life. No rust anywhere, it's actually in decent shape.... it WASSS a 318 car... factory stock and untouched....
  23. My daughter is a bit of a "chip off the old block", she is a car nut too. Always has been.... When she was about to head off to her grad dance she asked.... and I couldn't say no...
