  1. Do you subtract all of the taxi sales before you make the claim?
  2. The A6 3.0T Quattro does 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. That is over a full second quicker than a LaCrosse, that is much quicker than a CTS even. The Audi would run 4 rings around a Buick, a CTS AWD would probably struggle to keep up with an A6. Plus the A6 interior is better than any American car interior. Although I personally don't like Audis, they do a few things well. keep it on f@#king topic. We are talking handling here. The Buick could have a cardboard interior and then Audi have one built from f@#king angel farts but it would have no f@#king bearing on how either car handles. We are addressing your STUPID assertion that the XTS is automatically inferior in handling to the Audi despite them BOTH being front wheel drive. If you hate GM so much, why are you here? Magnetic ride control is what lets the heavier CTS run with the lighter M3 to the point where any differences are the result of driver error. I'm driving a Hi-Per strut Regal GS this week and there is NO torque steer from a 295 ft-lb front driver. You simply haven't got a clue because you HAVEN'T DRIVEN THESE CARS.
  3. Lacrosse 3.6 V6 AWD v. Audi A6 3.0T Quattro would be matched up pretty close. Same weight, same wheel base, the Audi has a little more torque at a lot lower RPM and could probably outrun the Buick, slightly, on the straightaways.
  4. I've seen 25 year old Caprices with 300k miles on them too and you're talking to a guy that drives a 30 year old Oldsmobile as a daily driver. Mercedes doesn't even build them like they used to. It took them 3 years to get the previous generation S-class right.
  5. Sure, they could sell 250k a year if they sell them to cab companies and police departments world wide.
  6. The base model E-class for consumer consumption is 39k Euro INCLUDING the 19% VAT. Meaning Benz only gets 33,474 euro or about 45k. Now, taxi models and other fleet models are even less expensive than that.
  7. The A6 is FWD based. I know, I've driven a FWD diesel A6 on the Autobahn. The FWD Lacrosse is at least equal to that now.
  8. Chevy Cruze Sunfire Edition make it in coupe and convertible.
  9. a rear locking differential would solve the problem on all of those.
  10. Which has absolutely nothing to do with which wheels do the moving.
  11. The Lacrosse is already a more than competent handler. I've chased an Altima Coupe up a twisty road in a Lacrosse CXS that was built before Hi-Per strut. Now add magnetic ride control, one of the best AWD systems out there (that can be tuned for RWD bias even in a FWD based car), and Hi-Per strut.... I am NOT saying that it will take on an M5 on the 'Ring, but it will likely more than match any E350 or 528i in feel. and that is all it need do.
  12. Just in time for the holidays again.
  13. amazing how none of that happened. They moved from also-ran to 2nd place in the market. The least expensive one I could find on Cars.com near you and I was a base 2011 with the 3.0 and FWD for $29,864. All of the others are well over $30k used.
  14. Looks like they'll be within striking distance of 70k this year.
  15. How much vacuum line is under there? It doesn't have to be the tubing that is cracked, but one of the connectors. Also, the tubing can be clogged. Buy a small spool of it, replace it all, and the connectors.
  16. Nice putting Americans back to work.
  17. Am I the only one that sees a Prius Matrix?
  18. the 2.5 has all the fuel economy of a v6 with all the power of a 4 cylinder. throw in the nhv of a misfiring pushrod and it is the worst of all worlds.
  19. there is video I believe. the point isn't what the cobalt "is", Nicer dash materials don't change handling characteristics.
  20. That's the same scenario with the LaCrosse & the XTS; not at all similar. It isn't the same, because the Camaro will be able to have acceleration and handling like a 3-series or G37 so it should match up well against a Mustang, Genesis Coupe, 370Z etc. The platform won't limit the Camaro's performance. The XTS can't handle like other luxury sedans with the same price point. And the LaCrosse has a lot of the features that the XTS has, the Impala has the same engine/transmission. The DTS is a sales dog, and Cadillac just rebuilt the same car on a different platform. Weak effort. You've driven an XTS already? Care to share pics and do a writeup? You have NO bloody idea what the car handles like. GM was able to get a Cobalt SS to out handle a 3-series and the XTS is FAR more technologically advanced than a Cobalt. You've gotten in trouble for making assertions you couldn't possibly back up before. Don't start down that path again.
  21. This isn't Cadillac's top end sedan. This is Cadillac's largest sedan. Cadillac's top end car has not been it's largest car since at least 1967. Going backwards chronologically: CTS-V STS-V/XLR-V STS Allante Seville/Eldorado Eldorado The Deville and Fleetwood haven't been Cadillac's flagship for decades.... RWD or not. In fact, Cadillac's flagships were front wheel drive from 1967 till 2004.
  22. Not the same in my eyes... :-(
  23. Kia getting a slit front grill in 5..4...3...
