  1. Just because of the badge?
  2. I don't think you'd want to avoid any of those Stang. For me, the obvious one years ago was trucks. I don't like trucks and I'm not a fan of SUVs. But the Avalanche caught my attention with it's versatility and then as I looked at it longer I noticed how attractive it is for a truck. It's probably the only one out there that I'd buy because of the aesthetic instead of in spite of it. I can't think of any other truck, even the Escalade EXT, that I find visually appealing from the outside.
  3. What I think we need is an average transaction price.... which would probably be hard to get. Just because the SRX or MDX start at certain prices doesn't mean that's what most of them are selling at.
  4. Is old people's money worth less than young people's money? Average buyer age for the Enclave is 59 years old, for the MDX is 48 years old. It's not Edgar and Mable Bluehair buying either of these vehicles, it's people in their peak spending years. But you're really just picking at straws to try and make the MDX seem like it's doing better than it really is. Whether you like it or not, with just the Acadia, GM outsold every crossover Acura built from a base model RDX to a top of the line MDX. On top of that, GM also sold more Enclaves than Acura sold MDXes and GM sold over 2 times more SRXes than Acura sold RDXes.
  5. I've used Turn-by-Turn in almost every other GM test vehicle I've gotten. The verdict for me is that it works equally as well as any NAV system in getting you to your destination and is a lot less distracting. I don't like large NAV screens on vehicles especially at night where I find that the glow causes a glare for me. Turn-By-Turn can re-route you if you've gone off route and talking to an Onstar rep adds a human element who has the power off Google to find what you are looking for that simply can't be had in a normal NAV system while you are driving. You can litterally have this kind of conversation: Onstar: Where would you like to go today? Me: There is an Italian restaurant near Ross Park Mall, I can't remember the name but I know it starts with D and there is a cheese in the name. It's about a mile from the mall. Onstar: Ok, I can look for that for you...... ..... OnStar: Do you mean Don Parmesan's? Me: Yeah! That's it! Can you route me? Onstar: I'm downloading the directions to you car now sir. Me: Thank you. Can you get me reservations for 2 for 7pm? Onstar: Please hold...... ..... Onstar: Your reservation for 2 at 7pm is confirmed. Try doing that with your NAV while you're driving. My issue with the switchgear is solely with the turn signal and wiper control. They were ripped directly from an Alero. They don't seem to match the plastic or font of anything else in the car. They feel ok. They just look out of place. Long distance comfort, I'll have to get back to you on.
  6. It might have seating for 8 adults as long as all are under 5'6".... With the exception of the sunshade, you just described the Acadia and Enclave.
  7. 2010 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ Interactive Review Our latest interactive review: 2010 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ
  8. This Just In: 2010 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ V6 Just arrived today for an Interactive Review, a Malibu LTZ loaded to the gills. This Diamond White Tri-coat with two tone cocoa/cashmere leather interior, the king of the Malibu car line, even came with DVD players in the headrests. First Impressions: The steering wheel, though typical of many GM cars, looks huge in this application Very composed ride A couple of switchgear missteps that could be easily corrected Stunning looking interior at first glance, some extra cut lines, but not offensive A couple of interior trim mismatches So, what say ye? What do you want to know about this top run Malibu?
  9. Most of the old square B-body wagons and their Ford equivalents.
  10. A rather ghostly image....a hearse from a dead brand. Help me out with the year? I'm not good at my '70s Pontiacs
  11. Are you mad?! How can I go on vacation when I have 137 glasses that are half full?
  12. I am not able to calm my brain. The problem isn't seeing the glass half full or half empty..... the problem is I have 137 glasses that are half full and an eye dropper (time) to fill them with.
  13. What are the dates?
  14. I saw Shrek IV opening weekend... very much enjoyed it
  15. I think the warranty claim reverts to GM should anything happen to Spyker. That's why the sale took so long because GM wanted to be sure that Saab was staying gone and that they wouldn't have to take old warranty claims if Spyker failed.
  16. Nothing seems to help.
  17. You've been here 9 years, but this is the first time you are welcome.
  18. This. I'm still trying to figure out how to make something like this happen for me.
  19. Journey is one of the bright spots of the Dodge lineup right now. They're all over the place here. Oh yea, my neighbor up the street with the X5 and X3 traded the X3 in on a new SRX. Should I go knock on his door and argue with him about why he traded in a vehicle with the engine oriented the "proper" way for one that was in sideways?..... or should I just be happy that Cadillac made a sale at the expense of BMW?
  20. LOL @ davey
  21. I'm picturing all of this as if it were The Matrix
  22. oh.... I guess I should call off the black Suburbans then.....
