  4. That's probably right
  5. it's not just a 4-speed auto..... it's 4 fixed gears plus 2 electric CVTs. This transmission really needs a new name so people can get off this 4-speed rant.
  6. So aim for 2pm? Made it to NJ..... Longest Trans-Pennsylvanian trip E.V.A.R. Edit: and the buddy I'm staying with might tag along.
  7. I think the manufacturer's thing got me because I would consider Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth to be one..... that's why I made up my answer.
  8. The EV-1 generation 2 had a range of about 100 miles per charge on NiMH Batteries. If it had Lithium Ion batteries, it might have been able to do 250 like the Tesla. Edit: I don't know if the EV-1s had regenerative braking or not. This guy test drove and EV-1 gen 2 for 5 days and on the 4th and 5th day he admittedly abused it and still got 83 miles to a charge..... this was in 1999.
  9. Uh. Didn't GM already produce a car with a 40+ mile range in the EV1?
  10. If it's a nice running DI Turbo 4 cylinder.... why not? By that time $3.50 a gallon will seem like a deal.
  11. You kidding? He's the tunnel.
  12. I caught this one grazing near my house a while back....
  13. Pittsburgh is the number 2 city in the world for most bridge..... right after Venice.
  14. actually, I think it's the county hearse used for convicts and john/jane doe edit: it looked entirely unstable as well.... coming out of that lot, I thought it was going to tip backwards.
  15. Must be Nissan built.
  16. Make the Volt technology a trimline in existing vehicles. You can buy a Chevy Malibu... or a Chevy Malibu Volt You can buy a Buick LaCrosse... or a Buick LaCrosse Electra You can buy a Cadillac CTS... or a Cadillac CTS - E You can buy a GMC Yukon... or a GMC Yukon Electromotive You can buy a Saturn Aura... or a Saturn Aura Power-line Sorry, I couldn't come up with one for Pontiac..... but I did most of the heavy lifting here.
  17. Great Vid PCS. They really take it easy on that old Atlantic <the head engine>. She's probably dying to get out and run again... those were 70-90mph engines back in their day and here she is running at 10% throttle. That slantback switcher probably maxes out around 50 though. I've had a lifelong love of steam engines cultivated by growing up along the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad Edit: My Octobers and Novembers are usually filled with trips to the local steam lines. I visit the often and have even gotten to drive the engine in this video. I'm...friendly.... with one of the engineers not shown in the video.Second week of October I can usually be found at the East Broad Top Railroad
  18. Knowing what I already know about the infrastructure in Pennsylvania, I'd rather not know
  19. What if the Trailblazer were replaced with a Chevy version of the Acadia?
  20. While I don't agree with, I at least get your stance on FWD, Transverse engines, B-pillars and manual transmissions..... the one I don't get is your aversion to uni-body. There were a few uni-body cars that I'm sure would suit all the rest of your requirements quite nicely.... so I'm curious if your hatred of uni-body would be directed at them as well. I could totally see you pulling one of these out of a barn somewhere to use as a daily driver, yet they're all unibody.
  21. Delta would/should include Cobalt Sedan Cobalt coupe Cobalt wagon <to replace the HHR> Astra 3-door Astra 4-door Astra Twintop
  22. Grass clippings and yard waste anyone?
