  1. and kill their exports to us? I think not.
  2. Oh nooooosss!!@!!21!!!!1 And I was going to buy a 2010 Buick LaCrosse Olympic Celebration Edition!!! :( :( :( :( :(
  3. I'm sure it doesn't hurt that you own the most influential GM fan site on the web. :AH-HA_wink:
  4. ok.... so the Buick is right in line with even the top of the line competition in terms of sales.... My point is that while I think the 3.6 should be in there as the base engine..... 3800 doesn't seem to be hurting sales.
  5. It may seem silly.... but no one has tried it yet now have they? The transverse mounted I5s and I6es and H4s and H6s still have relatively low displacement limits.
  6. Didn't the Packard Clipper or something have them too?
  7. It's length. The biggest transverse mounted <I know, I know 68> Inline 4 runs about 2.6 litres. VW's VR6 is 2.8 litres but isn't very fuel efficient for an engine of that size. Especially considering teh suxors pushrod 3500s and 3800s can pull off similar mileage in larger cars with similar engine performance numbers. If you did a VR-4 it would have the width close to an I-4 but you could have a larger displacement than 2.6. I'm just trying to think of ways to have decent power when needed but good efficiency when gas prices start heading back towards $4.00 a gallon.
  8. Oh noooo11!!1!!! I was teh off by 800 units. There have been more than a few months where Lucerne outsold Avalon.... it is certainly not the dog you were trying to imply.
  9. I'm curious as to what "agricultural" sounds like. I noticed with the 3.6 in my CTS that it noticeably smoothed out as it ages. For the first 10,000 miles or so, you're right, it's still a bit 3800 sounding. Now that I'm around 42,000 it's smooth like butta...
  10. just trying to think outside of the box here..... what if it were something like VW's VR series engine?
  11. What, the top ranked vehicles are cars that GM canceled already?
  12. The lesson to be learned there is to not go to the dealer for things like that. Struts, brakes, radiators, alternators, even transmissions can all be serviced much cheaper elsewhere.
  13. The 3.6 appears to be nearly as bullet proof. Use that instead.
  14. I never said it looked better. But it does look more unique than this Mazda. Seriously... this thing is generic asian sedan. take the logo off and you have no idea who it was made by. At least with the Taurus, you'd be able to guess.
  15. outselling the Toyota Avalon, Mercury Montego/Sable, and occasionally beating the Chrysler 300?
  16. yes. As far as outside physical dimensions are concerned, the 5.7 <and 6.0 that is currently in the CTS-V>, are very very small for a V8. In fact, the 5.7 and 6.0 are only slighly larger than the DOHC 3.6 litre. The northstar is very very large for a V8. When I was at the Detroit auto show, they had most of the engines out on display and the difference in size was astonishing.
  17. you really need to put white walls on it tho....
  18. Bill trying to steal the LeSabre..... hahah... it's out of gas. Bob's mom admiring Rodger's car....... it looks good in her driveway. Panorama shot of the C&G lineup. How to tell if Fly is in town. Caught this on the PA Turnpike on the way to Camino's Caught this for sale a few miles from my great grandfather's place on my way to Camino's Short video I made of Camino's mom's 38 Dodge.
  19. Where are you getting your numbers?
  20. yes... because the Taurus is not another generic asian sedan with yet another trapezoid for a grill. While the Taurus isn't exciting in a "zoom zoom" sorta way, Are you really going to mistake it for anything else? scrape the logo off and I doubt any of you would have been able to identify the brand. My first thought when I saw it was that it would make a good Galant refresh.
  21. I need some of whatever kool aid is being consumed by you people. The '08 Taurus has more originality that this!
  22. I'm thinking more for mini and micro cars
  23. I don't see why it would be any different than an I4
  24. Buy the Macbook and buy as much ram as you can afford for it. Macbooks can run OSx and also, using software called Parallels or BootCamp, run Windows software or even a full version of windows itself. In essence you get two computers in one.
