  1. Keep in mind that CC doesn't activate until you hit at least 25mph
  2. It's a mish mash of designs. It's likely the GMT-900s and quite possibly even the F-150 have better interiors.
  3. There are different opinions and then there are scratched, skipping CDs. Buickman is the later.

fine, and I'll do the same in an RDX while attempting to tow a 5,000 lbs boat + gear + 3 kids + dog...... in West Virginia....
  6. Time for a NG Aurora
  7. I've never used C&G's user ignore feature. The one in my brain works better.
  8. This is the only tranny we should get from Ford.... leave those up to GM
  9. What's going on in this thread? All I see is:
  10. I'd refuse to do business with any dealer that didn't play by the established rules.
  11. Not everyone lives in NYC, DC, or LA.... I wish these would be made available to more than just urbanites. Yes, I live in Pittsburgh, but other than downtown, it's very suburban.
  12. Ford? DETROIT, Sept. 18 -- Executives from Ford Motor Co. and General Motors have discussed a possible merger or alliance, Automotive News reports in its Monday, Aug. 18, 2006, edition. link
  13. Wow! such a beautiful view.
  14. Have you ever heard of the term "teaching to the test" BV? It is entirely possible for Toyota or Honda to "teach to the test", that is, they set up their cars so they get the best possible number on the EPA test. Of course the problem with this is, the EPA test doesn't come close to reflecting real world driving. This is reflected most dramatically with the Prius EPA score, but other Toyotas and Hondas suffer from it as well. GM, it seems, aims there efficiency more at American's real world driving habits while only regarding the EPA test as secondary as long as they pass it. You see it come up in cars like the Cobalt, Malibu, and even the w-bodies.
  15. Pebble bed breeder reactors are the next logical step in nuclear technology. They are inherently safer because they are self regulating.
  16. Im gonna go buy a pellet stove and put the Cadillac away for the winter just after Hershey.
  17. You mean like in this pic where the seam that runs between the center stack and the right side airbag cover is a different width at the top than at the bottom? If you're going to be of any value to us, you need to get in there and really start to pull on this stuff. Be like a 3 year old and yank on the trim as hard a possible. Did you even bring a crowbar?!?!? Free passes for Chrysler products...
  18. I'm still wondering how they're going to pull a coupe out of this....
  19. Remind me that I should drive when I visit you in FL. Heck if for no other reason than I'll have a rental.
  20. Does that mean the Camry 6-speed that is sometimes a 4-speed puts the Camry into the negative? The 4-speed debate is old. It doesn't remove any soul from the cars because GM's 4-speed is still smoother <and apparently better made than> Toyota's 6-speed and the known-for-going-bad 5-speed from Honda.
  21. Impala has the SS version and Malibu has the funky Maxx version. Just enough soul to push it above zero.
  22. Because each Cavalier sold had a $1500 healthcare albatross around it's neck. Since they were selling for around $13000 new, that didn't leave much room for profit. Each Deville on the otherhand still had that same $1500 albatross, but there was still room for profit.* *used just as an example.... dunno for sure the Deville is profitable.
  23. Perhaps, but you also don't *need* to be as agressive when you have 417 ft/lbs of torque at 4300 rpm and a 6-speed auto. and please.... Edmunds not beating the snot out of a tester car?
  24. That's not to say they're close. Nuclear is still waaaaaay above coal in BTU per pound of fuel. A combination of Nuclear, wind and solar <all 3 types>* would do well to reduce our dependence on burning things from the ground. *Photovoltaic, steam generation, Sterling engine.
