  1. Pittsburgh to DC 300+ Chargers
  2. Weeeelll... there's an app for that. Plugshare for Android - Plugshare for iOS There are others as well, but they tend to be brand specific, like for Tesla or Nissan Leafs or for a specific network of chargers. Plugshare gives you all of them and you can deselect the ones you don't want to see. There are 131 charger en route between Pittsburgh and Detroit.
  3. I'm not an over the road trucker... By the time I get to Detroit, I'm ready for a long nap. It doesn't take 8 hours to charge the Bolt on Level 3 which is what you'll usually be doing on a trip like that anyway. For 99% of the driving public, the Bolt's range is more than sufficient. Range anxiety is a red herring.
  4. It's not always about saving money..... no one buys a Tesla to save money. It's about saving a different kind of green. I would hardly call the Bolt limited to around town. It will get me from my house in Pittsburgh to the Renaissance Center in Detroit (295 miles) with one 30 minute stop at a Walmart in Central Ohio to top up the battery. Plug in, Stop in at El Patron for food, pee, get back on the road.
  5. The diesel is the Whisper Diesel that does so well in Europe. I wish they would offer it in the Encore and Regal here like they do in the Mokka and Insignia in Europe.
  6. Wow! That's really attractive! I look forward to seeing the new Terrain.
  7. The 500L is like the final generation Dodge Colt Vista. Ugly bubble that isn't capable of much.
  8. XTS being extended makes sense... JDN said there was a substantial redesign coming.
  9. It sounds like you just described a Chevy competitors to the Ford Flex?
  10. On the old Pruis, the narrow low rolling resistance tires were the biggest contributor to its poor handling performance. However, the Civic Hybrid on similar tires felt much closer to at least industry average.
  11. Well again, the bulk of Pruis sales have been of the awful to drive type as the new one has only been out for a few months now. The point that I was making was that the driving characteristics of that car clearly didn't sway consumer sentiment against it. That it is at minimum as competent as a Corolla now may be a step up, but the bar was pretty low.
  12. Maybe they need to lose a few pounds...
  13. I'll try it out next week.
  14. On Amazon, a SanDisk 512gb is $345 and offers 7.5 hours of 4k video storage. I imagine the price per GB on the 1tb card will be even higher. You can get a 256gb of the same speed for $89 that gets you 3.7 hours of 4k storage. You can buy nearly four 256gb cards for the same price as one 512gb card. The value simply isn't there except in very specific and specialty circumstances.
  15. 1tb of storage is 896 minutes / 14.93 hours of 4k Video.... Unless you're Jane Goodall in the jungle with no way to dump your video files, I simply cannot see the point of that much storage at this time.
  16. Not really necessary for the vast majority of people yet.
  17. The LEAF is the best selling EV to date with over a million units worldwide. Tesla is a distant second. I haven't driven a Fusion hybrid since the last bodystyle (Only a current MKZ Hybrid), but even that one was excellent enough for us to consider a Milan Hybrid at the time. The current Fusion is in the top 5 of the mid-sizers in handling, I"m not sure I'd call any hybrid "fun" because their acceleration is geared more towards ECO, but the Fusion's handling shouldn't be an issue... certainly better than the awful Pruis. The nice thing about the Ford hybrid is that it just goes about its business without any fuss about being a hybrid.
  18. The DSG also helps.... they sap less power than a torque converter automatic.
  19. I'm guessing they need additional capacity for the Colorado/Canyon and whatever they replace the Savana/Express with. I guess trucks built inside the NAFTA zone are not subject to the Chicken Tax.
  20. It's brand new. Other Moto-Z attachments are a mini-Projector, a big set of speakers, an additional battery that triples overall battery capacity... and if you don't want any of those or the camera and just want a slim phone, you put a thin back cover on it and use it like normal. I wish they had this sort of thing for the Nexus... or Pixel as future Google brand phones will now be called.
  21. It sounds like you maybe want to buy an unlocked phone off Ebay instead of buying new. The Moto-Z is what I was referring to above. The different attachments you can get for it are something I've wanted in a phone for a while. I **love** the idea of the camera attachment that has a real zoom lense.
  22. I'm happy with my Nexus 6P. The new Moto's with the attachments look interesting.
