  1. I'm curious how much a normal bus costs. I'm sure the savings in diesel will certainly help offset that, but there is likely a huge start up cost to install enough chargers to get all of the buses charged up for the morning rush.
  2. In that case, it's because there really were 3 nearly identical copies of that article as DFelt and I tried to convert it from a forum post into an article.
  3. I do apologize guys, I had to kill your previous comments in order to fix the thread. This was my screwup, not the software. @dfelt has been trained in how to use the article system now, so future articles of his shouldn't go this bad.
  4. I'm cleaning it up.. just sit tight
  5. What's that? Dfelt wanted his article in the article system rather than a forum post. So he had to recreate it.
  6. This topic will be closed to further replies as an article version has been created. you can copy/paste your comments into that one once it is published.
  7. uConnect, while one of the older systems on the market, is actually one of the best because everything "just works" and it is easy to use.
  8. I've had the 200 with the 2.4 and 9 speed, drove it from Baltimore to Boston. It was tolerable.
  9. Oh absolutely would I pick a Chrysler 200 (even as rough as the Chrysler 2.4 is, it is no worse than the Altima), but if you need space, the only thing that beats the Altima at this price for interior cubic feet is the Passat. Also not a bad choice, but not for everyone either.
  10. Eh, configured the way @William Maley got it for review, these are the king of the $199 a month leases and they're big cars for the segment. That's why they sell.
  11. That's an EPA estimate... so yes it could be variable, but that also means it could be higher. In the Volt, real world driving returns results that regularly exceed EPA.
  12. It doesn't look like it offers active cruise control.... if it had that, I would spring for it.
  13. Yeah, but people know the Nissan LEAF by name... all Nissan has to do is say, "Nissan LEAF, now with an estimated 250 mile range". Some ad exec somewhere will get paid $45,000 to write that line too. And it will work.
  14. I'm not familiar with Fisker battery problems, what were they?
  15. Decent, cheap, efficient, long distance car and that's about that. Get it up to speed on the highway and just leave it there.
  16. That's a really competitive for a car that is half the price of a Tesla. However, that honeymoon will likely be short as the next Nissan LEAF is going to have a range over 200 miles and has better name brand recognition than the Bolt.
  17. unlike some people, I'm not against electrification or hybridization. I don't like to waste energy and if I can recapture energy when I'm braking to use it for acceleration, than I'm all for it. If I can power my commute with wind turbines or solar, I'm all for it. I like silence in my cars and I like lots of torque... both specialties of electric power, but in the end, I'm truly agnostic as to what I use for fuel as long as it has those qualities. My limitation at the moment is the need for AWD.... there are so few hybrid AWD vehicles right now, and even fewer that are affordable, that it basically takes electrification off the table for me. But if GM put the CT6 PHEV powertrain in a new Chevy Avalanche 4x4, I'd be first in line at Chevy with my deposit.
  18. This is just about as easy a recall as it gets.... the only easier recalls I've seen are when they have to put an extra sticker on the coolant reservoir to tell you not to drink the anti-freeze.
  19. At the earliest, I would think in its 3rd year... so MY 2019
  20. Just to make sure we're on the same page, I'm referring to the Karma Revero, not the Fisker Atlantic.... the Atlantic is 3-series/C-Class sized
  21. The have very long hoods. The pictures have always distorted the size and scale of these cars. They could probably fit a V12 under there with no problem.
  22. Breaks the "no top shelf" rule.
  23. 1. Cadillac Escalade Platinum - This would be my daily driver 2. 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado 3. 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche Black Diamond LTZ Z71 4. Cadillac XTS V-Sport Platinum 5. Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Hemi - My Partner's daily driver 6. Cadillac XLR-V 7. 1937 Cadillac V16 8. 1985 Cadillac Seville - Engine replaced with the 1996 LT-1 9. 1996 Eagle Talon TSi AWD 5-speed manual 10. I'd upgrade my current 1981 Toronado to a 1985 Toronado Caliente Convertible.... same engine swap as the Seville above.
  24. So for us 'Mericans, we're limited to GM domestic brands, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, (Desoto, Studebaker, Hudson, and Edsel too I guess)
