  1. Each division could have a reveal then. GMC Terrain Chevy Camaro Cadillac CT6 Buick Envision
  2. While we saw a glimpse of it in Nissan’s Super Bowl commercial where we also saw the upcoming Nissan Maxima, Nissan officially took the wraps off their 2015 Nissan GT-R LM Nismo Le Mans car today at an event leading up to the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. Nissan is taking an innovative look at the Le Mans regulations and instead of producing a Le Mans car in the traditional rear-engine layout, they have opted for a front-midship design (ahead of the driver, but behind the front wheels) with front wheel drive. Powering the GT-R LM, is a 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 hybrid. But this is not your Grandmother’s Pruis; Rather than using batteries and electric motors to assist the gasoline engine, the GT-R LM uses a kinetic energy recovery system (ERS). In over-simplified terms, when decelerating, the ERS collects the kinetic energy in a large flywheel, when accelerating, that energy is pushed back into the drivetrain. The hybrid system is important because Le Mans regulations are based on how much fuel a car can burn over a given time. The more efficient the powertrain at that rate of fuel burn, the more power the driver has. ERS systems are not lightweight however, so Nissan was challenged to get the entire powertrain plus ERS install under the regulation weight. With its front wheel drive layout, one naturally expects the wider tires to be up front, but that is just a starting point. Nissan moved the aerodynamic down pressure points more forward and shifted the weight distribution of the car forward to further aid with traction. The Nissan GT-R LM Nismo sees its first race on April 12th 2015 in Silverstone, UK. You can follow all of the news from the 2015 Chicago Auto Show here. Source: Nissan Media View full article

  4. V8 + Wagon + Zeta Platform even...
  5. It's an expense that the general public doesn't need. Plugging in 2 ipads in the back doesn't put that big a load on the electrical system. But when you add stereo stuff and other things like if you add an alarm or remote start due to the auto not having it, I have found in the past that if not done right by a person with attention to details it can come back and bite you in the arse! that is a question of installer competence, not electrical system capability
  6. Even with the Cherokee selling like gangbusters, the Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot combined sold 154,726 units in 2014....and that was an increase of 15% and 23%. I'm not saying that either of them are great cars, but there is clearly a market for a jeep in that size class which neither the Renegade nor Cherokee (which sold 178k) fit into. It does make sense to combine them into a single vehicle... but they can't drop this market entirely.
  7. Welcome! With a car like that, you're going to be pretty popular around here!

  9. I'll be in Annapolis this coming week. Shame if something would happen to your nice new truck...
  10. I know I'll sound like a GM fanboi here, but the Verano T is a better car in just about every measure unless you're specifically going for loud.
  11. 36 new powertrains? I believe that is some rather fuzzy math going on there.
  12. I hope prices of used avalanches and suburbans falls.
