With the A-Class coming, the A3 (and new A3)... that might not be a terrible idea. -
well for the theory to work, there would have to be a great amount of economic upward mobility in this country. For most people, that no longer exists. The 1-series is too small to be practical for most people. The 3-series is for when people are feeling rich after the lease on their Civic is up, they don't have kids yet, and BMW is running lease specials on the loss leader equipped models.

I can't believe they are selling that many Pathfinders when its competition is so much better

I can't imagine someone walking in to buy a Dart and engine up in an Avenger instead.... the Dart isn't class leading, but it is still better than Avenger.
