    With the A-Class coming, the A3 (and new A3)... that might not be a terrible idea.

    well for the theory to work, there would have to be a great amount of economic upward mobility in this country. For most people, that no longer exists. The 1-series is too small to be practical for most people. The 3-series is for when people are feeling rich after the lease on their Civic is up, they don't have kids yet, and BMW is running lease specials on the loss leader equipped models.

    I can't imagine someone walking in to buy a Dart and engine up in an Avenger instead.... the Dart isn't class leading, but it is still better than Avenger.

    Almost 1 in 3 new VWs sold is a TDI. Hear that GM? It's the clitter-clatter of torquey little 4-cylinders available in every car model sold.

    heavy fleeting or not, Chrysler is still moving over 16.5k mini-vans each month. I'm surprised a Patriot and Compass being up that much, those aren't vehicles you see in fleets often, so I don't think they are ending up in the Enterprise lots. Dart is doing decent. Is the bloom already off the rose at Fiat?
