  2. Uggg, it just keeps coming. Its turned to snow, so that made it easier to drive. I still cant get my car up the driveway. Oh, and the Dodge Ram seems to be this ice storms victim of choice. There were like 7 of them between the house and the hospital (surprisingly the ER was pretty empty, took no time to get that wrist taken care of), the only other cars I saw having trouble were a Focus spinning wildly in a gas station parking lot and a 4th gen Camaro (purple, why did they sell the Camaro in that color? Why did that color even exist in the first place?) that the jackass driver tried pulling up into a parking lot whose entrance was blocked by a large pile of snow.
  3. Since you probably missed it, here is a link to Guantanimo Baywatch from yesterday's Daily Show. It pretty much sums up why keeping Gitmo open is ridiculous. And just for the record, I have a federal prison in my back yard (practically, the United States Center for Federal Prisoners is in Springfield, smack dab in the population center of the city) and I wouldn't care at all if a Gitmo inmate were transferred there. Want to know why? ITS A f@#kING PRISON. They're not going to move them into a New York penthouse or some shanty in Dicksburg, IA.
  4. JESUS TAPDANCING CHRIST! First of all, lets waterboard you, then see if you consider it torture. Simulated drowning=torture, there is no way around it. Secondly, closing Gitmo doesn't mean releasing SUSPECTED terrorists into America or sending them back where they came from. It means moving them to other facilities and giving them a fair trial. They're not going to be moved from Gitmo to your local minimum security facility, small towns across America aren't going to have terror suspects sitting in the holding cells of their local police stations. Your argument is asinine.
  5. Oh no, next we'll find out it'll have a b-pillar.
  6. NPD is a hell of a lot more entertaining. We've got a couple of Psych majors on the site (FOG and Enzora I believe, could be wrong) who could tell you more. Or just Wiki them.
  7. From what I can tell from pictures, the decklid is one piece, there is just a crease that runs across it to make it look, ya know, not flat.
  8. If it were a '93 Cavalier convertible, I'd be all over it. But its a Chrysler, one with a bad transmission and a motor that smokes and with a duct tape top and a mangled fender. That $200 car is quickly becoming a $2500 car, and for $2500 I could find a far better old convertible.
  9. He was smart enough to know that the Senate would eventually seat whoever he nominated. I wonder what Harry Reid would have done if Blago had named himself to the seat. That would have produced some fireworks.
  10. A girl I went out with in high school had one of these. If it weren't a 90's Chrysler product, for $200 it would be a fantastic 4th car for cruising in the summertime.
  11. This guy is my hero. He is absolutely insane. Trying to sell a Senate seat, hustling a children's hospital, comparing himself to Ghandi, the list goes on and on. I applaud the voters of my home state for electing a delusional narcissist governor, it makes for amusing television.
  12. Linkypoo '93 Chrysler Lebaron Convertible $200, needs a transmission and a top.

I was dead serious. I love the idea of being a lawyer but I hate the idea of being an ambulance chaser.
  14. Totally would have sold better if it were pillarless.
  15. Hows aboot some advice. If your going to walk across an icy parking lot to your ice covered hybrid then lose your footing when you go to open your ice coverd door, dont try to break your fall with your freaking wrist.
  16. Adopt CARB worldwide for gas cars, EURO standards for diesels.
  17. Not a native to the region. Thank god.
  18. If we had carpool lanes, I'd get a couple of these to ride with me.
  19. If it were the NY or MA standards (which I believe are close to CARB if not straight copies) people would still whine. I say the fed just adopt CARB standards.
  20. Meh, after 10 years you realize that the "sights" suck.
  21. Well we finally got our yearly ice storm. So far its only about a quarter of an inch, but still, bad things happen. I was going to get something out of the back of my car and slipped on the ice, hit my back, kinda hurt but not too bad. The drive home was interesting, the LeSabre did better than most other cars on the road, mostly because I'm a better driver than most others. A guy in an F-350 flew by me on the highway (I was going about 30, he had to have been doing 60) then noticed traffic was at a standstill in front of him and slid off the road. There was a FWD Regal in front of me that also noticed too late that traffic up ahead was stopped, so he slammed on his brakes, swerved onto the shoulder, slid for a bit, slowed to a near stop, then jerked back onto the road in the lane. It was a very graceful move. A short while after that I was still behind the Regal in stopped traffic and my front end started sliding a bit, seems like RWD+rear drums+ice isn't totally awesome. Slipping it into neutral rectified that problem. Should get worse tonight (YAY!) then be back in the 50's this weekend. You know what they say about the Ozarks, if you dont like the weather, go f@#k yourself.

  23. Wow, thats fantastic.
  24. You haven't explained why resorting to Hitler-esque tactics is the only way to keep Americans safe.

Last Spring I told a friend that I could never be a personal injury attorney because I just cant be the guy on the back page of the phonebook. He said that I'm already that guy, just not a lawyer yet.
