    Mail trucks

I dont way to pay $1.35 to mail a letter.
  2. The Caravan starts at $23k, take ten grand off that, then add incentives(40%?)and you'll probably see a sales jump.
  3. Just going on recent market trends, you know, those pesky numbers that give a pretty good idea of the appeal of a company.
  4. Probably not, its a Chrysler.
  5. Blatant product placement usually occurs in shows that suck ass.
  6. Lexus has all the big drops, luxury cars in a crappy economy, thats not tough to figure out. Toyota cars are down less than 1% compared to last year. They're struggling with trucks, along with everyone else who didn't put Employee Pricing on theirs.
  7. Take the best selling car out of any automaker's lineup and the numbers are terrible. Take away #1 and #4, they're going to look even worse. If you take away the Yaris, Corolla, Camry, Avalon, Tacoma, Tundra, Land Cruiser, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Prius, Sienna, Highlander and Rav4, Toyota had the worst month in the history of the world. I'd be willing to bet Corolla buyers moved down to the Yaris, which is significantly less expensive and gets a little better mileage, at least in the city.
  8. I get advertisements from Saturn in the mail every week, sometimes two per week. Apparently as a Saturn "owner" (its been like 3 years since I traded it off) they think I deserve to be hounded with ads. I've driven the Astra and was underwhelmed.

    Weddings....

Hmmmm.....I have thought about doing a J.D./MBA, it would get me closer to my goal of filling an entire wall up with degrees. I'll have 3 (1 Associates, 2 Bachelor's) by the summer of 2010. We're really not in any big hurry, it is going to happen sometime.
  10. Sorry to go completely off topic, but wouldn't it actually be significantly cheaper and easier to start with a convertible and attach a roof? That way you're not attacking any existing structure, just removing the cloth top and welding a steel one on.

    Weddings....

We want to get married either just before I go to law school, or just after. Haven't decided yet.
  12. I dont think about work at home. I barely think about work while I'm at work.

    Weddings....

If I had my way, mine would be at the county court house and take about 10 minutes.

    Weddings....

I hate weddings. No real reason, I just do. I got an invitation for an old friends wedding next month. I really dont want to go, because I really dislike weddings. Have I mentioned that? I tried using the no babysitter excuse(a lie, btw), she said that I could bring my son. I'll think of some way to weasel my way out of going. All this got me thinking about mine, which is tentatively scheduled for sometime between 1/1/2010 and 12/31/2020. I've already asked if I can have someone stand in for me during the ceremony so I can play video games or something. That got a no.
  15. Wow, Rolls almost outsold Chrysler, just like everyone else did. MINI needs to sell more so they depreciate faster so I can justify buying a gently used one.

    McCain's trend

Whats sad is that it shouldn't take a hardliner to protect personal liberties, just someone literate. The Bill of Rights has been around for nearly 220 years, no need to reinvent the wheel. If you need to make two jumps to get something to fit, it doesn't fit. Meaning: If you interpret X to mean Y then reinterpret Y to mean Z, then X violates Amendment A. Like saying income taxes are akin to slavery, its just too big of a jump that the Founding Fathers would frown upon. I have a feeling you and I will agree on some gun laws, and disagree on others. I dont fully agree with an assault weapon ban, but I really dont think the 2nd Amendment was put in so Joe Schmo could keep an AK-47 in every room of his house. I dont know what a perfect solution to this would be, in fact there probably isn't one that will please both sides of the debate. I also dont agree with the de facto handgun bans that several major cities (including my hometown of Chicago) have/had, but I see the logic behind them. I just dont see how keeping people from legally buying a gun is going to cut crime, since guns are easy enough to steal or import from an outlying area. People who are careless with their guns should have to deal with the law. I have a couple of antique shotguns in the house, both of them are in a case and have trigger locks. The ammo is elsewhere. Thats somewhat responsible. People who put their 9mm in the sock drawer then seem shocked when Little Billy takes it and busts a cap in someone's ass are not responsible. Did they pull the trigger? No, but they didn't keep the trigger from being pulled.

    McCain's trend

There were threats of a walk-out at the convention if McCain went with Lieberman, which is a shame, because as you said, that would be a decently centrist ticket. The McCain of 2000 and the Lieberman of 2000 would have been the ultimate centrist ticket, but McCain has moved further right and Lieberman has pissed off Democrats by supporting the Iraq war. What is really bad, for both candidates, both parties, and the American people, is that McCain's campaign manager said flat out that this election isn't about the issues. What that says to me is that they're going to make it a referendum on Obama, which means negative ads and attack ads. Thats not the way politics should work, in fact if they do go exclusively negative, it will be the opposite of what McCain said he'd do at the start of it all. Elections should be about ideas and visions for the future, not about who can sling the most dirt to get the job.
  18. T&C and Charger are up, everything else is down double digits from last year, except the Caravan. The Charger is 52% fleet, the T&C is about 30%. Ouch. Wouldn't Cerebrus save money if they just quit selling cars?

    My Humps

I once listened to In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida all the way through, listening for a hidden message. There wasn't one.

    McCain's trend

Its funny you mention McCain not knowing much about Palin. I remember back in July or early August, her name was floated aroundby a pundit of some sort who then immediately killed any chance she had because of TrooperGate and political views that wont win over any Hillary voters. McCain has until she is formally nominated and accepts to dump her from the ticket,, but I dont think he will. If he did, it would be another stroke of genius, because he'd be getting even more press time then.
  21. So far, so good. It should have worked its way through by now, I'm going to top off the oil and see what happens.

    McCain's trend

The base would have led a massive revolt if Rudy had gotten the nomination. He was the far right's worst nightmare, but probably the easiest candidate to get elected the GOP had at their disposal.

    McCain's trend

Giuliani and Gravel would have made for a fantastic race. The debates would be something like this: Rudy: "Noun, verb, 9/11" Mike: *Silently picks up a rock and throws it into a lake*
  24. I think I would be frightened to get a CarFax on my LeSabre.

    McCain's trend

Increasing teacher pay makes it a more appealing occupation. Our kids are dumb, and getting dumber. Doesn't that seem like something everyone should be interesting in correcting? I dont care if the government kicks in money to my health care or not, they can do something about the costs. My dad was charged $700 for a 3 mile ambulance ride. Doesn't that seem ridiculous? And the wealthy should pay their fair share, as Warren Buffet said, why does he pay 17% while his employees pay over 30%?
