  1. There are 500s all over the place here in DC. I also saw a Saleen S7 yesterday in the mall.
  2. I think this is good. I've sometimes wondered about how much money GM wasted on the crappy G6 coupe and convertible, money that they could have used to make their other cars less crappy.
  3. Not sure about this one. I like the new 5-series a lot but this seems too fiddly.
  4. Shoot, what was the name of that weird British guy in like 2003. The one who kept saying that a 4 cylinder Corvette would be "tops"? Anyone remember what I'm talking about?
  5. It pains me to see that slick interior with even slicker software setup, and then a cheapo corporate GM magic stick windshield wiper stalk.
  6. Because the market shows Americans overwhelmingly prefer vanilla (FWD 4cyl automatic sedans in white or silver). Considering the debut is in Dubai, I suspect Northstar is onto something when he fingers CAFE as the villain.
  7. "We cannot have the same type of vehicle in the showroom because the consumer is not stupid. We're not going to create the confusion and conflict in the showroom," Marchionne said. My translation: Chrysler and Dodge have no money and we're kinda screwed.
  8. How bout cops who bum drugs off people they arrest and then don't get punished for it? And then get rewarded for planting the same drugs on others?
  9. I think the Kizashi Sport GTS is a pretty good car actually, but the (one) local dealer doesn't have any Kizashis in an appealing spec.
  10. Ah, good point Roger. If you do a search for a certified used car the vast majority are model year 2008 (coming off three year leases) and that story definitely makes sense.
  11. When will they put a real engine in the CR-Z?
  12. The current Colorado was beginning to show its age the minute it debuted.
  13. As is ownership of the state by industry, which is how it is in a corporatocracy. Yeah that's how Russia works.

    Honda in decline

Then there's the CRZ which I think is a good looking, funky little car, but the only powertrain they offer is an outdated, inferior, underpowered mild hybrid system.
  15. State ownership of industry is a very bad thing.
  16. Plus $1,000 a year for nonexistent cost of living increases.
  17. Hey I think someone forgot to tell the UAW it's not 1955 and there's a thing called competition these days.
  18. It's a real shame the UAW wasn't smashed in the bankruptcy.
  19. I'd like for Maybach to stick around. The technology is amazing--it launched with the world's most powerful production engine at the time and it ran at a silent whisper. As Simon Cowell says, this is not a car you drive, it's a car to be driven in. And there is no better car to be driven in.
  20. Somehow I doubt that GM (which has no money) has the right engine strategy when not one other luxury marque (flush with cash) agrees.
  21. How many currently unemployed people would happily work on the assembly line without such a bonus?
