  1. I would prefer a RWD car the size of the 3-Series, but if they can do an EpII that shares no interior bits, doors, hood, etc with the lesser EPII vehicles then it will be ok. The current BLS is too similar to the 9-3. The NG BLS needs to be very different from the 9-3. But if it has an interior the style and quality of the next CTS - then we are all going to be ok.
  2. Imagine what the next STS interior must look like?! If Cadillac brings out this CTS next spring it will make the STS look like a POS. I never though that the CTS would be so nice looking. It looks like the general is truly serious about turning things around. The CTS is the halo car for the Cadillac brand and for GM as a whole. My dream garage right now would be to have a 2008 CTS and a C6.
  3. I like everything about it - even the steering wheel.
  4. I wish the top didn't take up so much space. Other manufacturers have found ways to get a hard top vert that doesn't consume so much of the trunk. All in all this is a nice package though. It will be interesting to see how the G6 sales go after the VW Eos and Chrysler Sebring Hardtop convertibles hit the market.
  5. Where did you get those pics?
  6. What Hummer needs to do is put the duramax in the H2 along with an all new interior, bring out the H3T and an H4.
  7. The new steering wheel is an improvement - the old Lacrosse wheel is terrible. Now for the rest of the car. Will someone please fix the exterior - especially the nose?

Avalanche Sales are going to sky rocket.

I don't like it. It has a little too much Chevy Colorado in it - a truck that I hate. The rear bed looks too narrow. I hope there is a traditional box option. I sure hope this truck looks better in person.
  10. I hope Chevy does not build a Lambda CUV. Now a Lambda based minivan sounds like a great idea. GM needs to have a minivan in this still very popular segment.
  11. All Lambda's have six lug wheels.
  12. I predict we will see the real deal this fall at the LAIAS. I want a Acadia Denali with a V8 in black please.
  13. Teeeeeny tiny SRX interior pics are better than nothing. Has anyone seen these? Can you post them here?

Correct. We will see this car on the auto show circuit this coming spring. GM has kept this under wraps better than most of their new cars lately. GM has plans to shock the world this winter with a new CTS, BRX, Malibu, GMT-900 Trucks and some seriously cool prototypes. The Malibu and GMT-900 trucks will be Chevy's new bread and butter. With the Lambda's going on sale this fall, the GMT-900 SUVs now on the market, an updated SRX and the Lucerne gaining traction - GM is headed in the right direction and is laying the ground work for a stellar 2007!!
  15. Pictures? When are we going to see them?

Since this is a chevy product I don't expect to see the 3.6L V6. I believe that GM is going to focus their DOHC efforts at Saturn and Buick. I would expect a new high tech 3 valve VVT AFM 3.9L V6 mated to the new six speed auto matic. This would tie in the OHV heritage that chevy has built with their trucks and the corvette. Expect either the 2.4L I4 or 3.5L VVT V6 (or both) as base engines. If they can get the gas mileage up to par - then this would be one way to build in brand heritage with the Chevy Malibu.

The space between the front door and front wheel well indicate that these are two different vehicles. If all the inside information is correct then this is in fact the 2008 Malibu that will be the last sedan developed on the Epsilon I platform. This will come out no later than next fall. If GM did this right - it would be out next spring or summer so that the current Malibu could die. As to it being larger than the current Malibu. The current size of the Malibu and Impala is a problem for Chevy. The Malibu is too small to compete with the Camcord and the Impala is just a little too big. From all the rumors and posts over the past year or so - this is what I have gathered about GM's Chevy sedan plan: The Malibu will grow to compete in size with the segment leaders and the next Impala will retain its current size - but switch to a RWD platform to take on the Charger. The biggest threat to the next generation Malibu will be the Saturn Aura. It will be interesting to see how these are priced relative to each other.
  18. I have always like the look of the SRX on the outside, loved the powertrain options and appreciated that this is a true performance CUV not like the MDX, RX330 and upcoming Lincoln MKX which are all based on FWD platforms. The SRX is a great package and has won many automotive awards for its segment. The biggest weakness was price and the horrible interior. The price was lowered for 2006 and it sounds like GM is finally fixing the interior. This sounds excellent. I can't wait to see it. When will the pictures be released? By the way - the new key fob will spread to all the cadillac vehicles and will eliminate the key and fob that are seperate and like every other GM car. This is one more important step that is necessary to elevate Cadillac above the lesser brands. Show me some pictures!!!!!!!
  19. The G6 is getting the 3.6L and six-speed this fall. The Aura got all the publicity because it is all new.
  20. Can someone post the spy pictures and the GMC Graphyte pictures in the same post to compare - especially the front end? Thanks in advance.
  21. The more I look at this the better it becomes. I hope Buick doesn't dilute this much before bringing it to market this fall. This could be the best SUV GM has ever made - in terms of interior design and fit and finish. The updated SRX had better be good to justify the price over the Enclave.
  22. Looks good. Something about those wheels reminds me of the Trailblazer SS and spied Equinox SS wheels. Could this by chance be some kind of Chevy RWD SS sedan? That would be awesome!!
  23. Really? Based on what? How do you know this? Tell us more? About the Buick... I would have thought that GM would have continued with tradition and introduced the new Norhtstar in a Cadillac - hopefully the coming updated STS for 2008/2009 MY.
  24. Agreed. GM needs to update the Northstar ASAP. GM needs a premium V8 to compete with the Lexus/BMW/Mercedes V8 engines. In todays market 320 HP is nothing to brag about from a V8. Hopefully the Northstar will get an update in the next 18-24 months to come out after this new 3.6L DI V6.
  25. It will either be the G6 convertible or the G5. The G6 has less mass market appeal due to the price - the G5 would drive dealer traffic (if it weren't just a rebadged Cobalt)...
