  1. Your top still can be down most of the time, just not when you're grocery shopping or have to fill the trunk up with stuff. A weekend trip like camping it wouldn't be so bad, because you can just take everything out for the camp.. then have it down while you're camping. Besides you don't constantly need to access the trunk on a weekend trip, only some of the times. Just put the stuff you're going to need in the back seat and the stuff you don't need to access much in the trunk.*Crys* I can't have my top up all the time... I just can't live like that, I can't believe it!! Now I'm not saying it's a good thing or that it should be like this, but if you can't live with your top up for a little bit or you're the kind of person in the situation where you fill up your trunk constantly then it won't be the right vehicle for you, but otherwise to complain is just being a cry baby. And personally I'd delay this and redo it. It would be worth the extra cost.
  2. This is NOT a big deal! If you want to put something in the trunk, don't put the top down. Simple as that!! When you get to where you're going and take it out, then put the top down. Seriously, if anyone is that stupid, then they shouldn't be in a car anyway... It's amazing how people don't have common sense now days.
  3. I think the two-tone paint is good looking... Just one solid color makes it look really bland and I don't think fixed headlights would look good on this. How do you drop the nose? Do you have any pictures of firebirds with dropped noses?
  4. It's stock except for flowmasters. It runs great. What do you think? It's my dad's not mine, but I plan on owning it soon. He bought it for $3750.
  5. How can they even think of selling that much when the mustang currently barely sales that much with no competition? The last gen camaros were selling like 20k a year weren't they? 20k or 40k. Which is WAAAAAYYYY less than the profitable goal for this. Besides won't the market be saturated by the time this comes out? A Mustange, Challenger, then this? I doubt they can sale 120-160k of them... Then with the next GTO it'll be even more saturated. Unless they mean 160k of them not on a yearly basis.
  6. I disagree, most people don't care if it's old fashioned and besides it looks good whether it's old fasioned or not. Things DO come back into style. The front looks fine, I think females would like a car that makes them look cool/agressive. They don't want a car that looks pssy and weak, lots of women buy big F-350s for this reason. Round tail lights wouldn't look good on this car. It would look weird.
  7. The interior looks so much better, white.
  8. Yet more pssy... And if the lights are the same just clear, that'll suck, imo...
  9. New Chev muscle car a Holden underneath http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/showthr...?threadid=25280 Demand from American baby boomers for modern muscle cars sent American executives to Australia looking for help. The Camaro was yesterday labelled a "concept car" but the Herald understands it is close to being confirmed for production. "We have Australian engineers working on this project right now," Denny Mooney, the American boss of Holden, told the Herald. With his connections in the US, it is likely the Chevrolet Camaro could be built in North America on the same production line as the next generation Pontiac GTO, which is due in 2008. Given that they share major underbody components, the same US factory could also produce a version of the new Holden Statesman, to be sold as a Buick. But Mr Mooney stressed that production of the Commodore, Statesman and other models would continue in Australia and, in addition to its local manufacturing commitments, Holden would become the main supplier of technical expertise for GM's large rear-drive cars around the world. http://www.smh.com.au/news/business/new-ch...6863238790.html At the Detroit motor show yesterday, Chevrolet revealed a new Camaro but beneath the muscle-car body were the underpinnings for the next generation of Australia's biggest selling car, the Holden Commodore. Like a giant jigsaw puzzle, car makers are increasingly sharing underbody components in order to save money - and get more models. They fit different bodies so the cars look different but share parts customers can't see. Since Holden began exporting the Monaro to the US three years ago (where it is sold as a Pontiac GTO), the Australian outpost has increasingly come to the attention of its parent company, General Motors. Holden is one of only three GM brands around the world that makes large rear-wheel drive cars, such as the Commodore and Statesman. "Holden is responsible for General Motors' global rear-drive architecture," Mr Mooney said. "We own the expertise to assemble and develop it." Given this new development it is possible Holden could revive the Chevrolet brand in Australia. Holden is already planning to establish a network of Australian dealers for Cadillacs brand and is also considering the potential of a Chevrolet revival. Since it is based on the Commodore's underpinnings, the Camaro could easily be built in right-hand drive, according to Holden sources. The last time Chevrolet was officially sold in Australia was in the 1960s, before GM withdrew the brand to focus on Holden. The all-new models of the Commodore and Statesman are due on sale in August and September this year.
  10. I never knew those things infront of the shifter were guages.... I thought it was just lights... lol
  11. Drugs are bad for you, son.... j/k But last-gen mustang?! No way... It looks more like current gen mustang than it did the old one..
  12. They would be stupid to not produce this car! It's easily the best of the three(camaro, challenger, mustang) and everyone wants this shizzz.
  13. What's with copying VW? First the rear of the lucern and then this... The back reminds me of a VW.
  14. The video is awesome!! mms://c9o.earthcache.net/woc-01.media.globix.net/COMP000787MOD1/roadandtrack/2006/0601_camaro_hi.wmv
  15. Is it any larger than the current version? It looks bigger. I thought the current version was small.
  16. So is it going to have other upgrades besides the engine? Will it have suspension upgrades and handle better?
  17. So? If they keep doing that, pretty soon they'll be releasing '09s in '07! :o
  18. If the '07 is coming out in early '06 why not just call it an '06?!
  19. I think you're taking what I said too literally. It was mainly a joke post to make fun of this stupid idea. Whoever thought of this concept should be fired. The Vega name would be better than Stingray, imo, and who cares if it brings memories of a bad car if a new car with the same name was good? Is producing a good car with a bad name better than watering down a good historical name? Not that I'm saying I'd like it to be called a Vega. Oh and this thing will be fast because of a fair amount of power and its weight so people who want a car just for speed might take this over a Camaro(that's IF the camaro is a porker), but I never said everyone would buy this over a Camaro and I wasn't taking into consideration of other factors, but that was obvious. And the whole 4,000 lbs. thing was just a guess/estimate(I don't think it'll be under 3,800 lbs.), I never intended for anyone to take that seriously...
  20. I see, I agree with most of that except the seats... The back seats are useless in the old F-Bodies and even in the new mustang. I saw one at the airport and the back seats are for 6-8 year olds. If these cars were competing, no one would buy a Camaro because of the rear seats atleast IMO.
  21. Sting Ray name = No. Call it a Vega or something else and who would buy a Camaro over this? I'm sure the new Camaro won't be as nice as this, just bigger and not any faster, because it'll be 2 tons of beef. And NO MORE KAPPAS!! Unless it doesn't look like a rebadge like this.... This is a weak idea. A nomad would be better.
  22. V6 or I4? Hahahahahahahahahaha!!! Corvette being its own brand would be cool though, they'd beable to focus on Corvettes instead of the whole Chevy lineup.

    ULS

I say kill the ULS then, it's supposed to be an upscale Caddy with a big engine, not a V8... This is weak sauce.
  24. Yeah, I won't buy a product because the engine isn't technologically advanced. It can't be old fasioned or I'll just die a thousand deaths!!! :o
  25. The 300 looks like the old Chrysler 300 and this looks like the old Chrysler Imperial. It is coincidence that it looks like Bently's or other companies. Maybe THEY are the ones who copied Chrysler?
