  1. Here's the 1999 Chevy Nomad concept:
  2. This car is simply so incredible that it is hard to improve on it. The grill and general look of it is based strongly on the original 50's concept. I'd like to see someone make a Pontiac 'Safari' out of it....you know, graft a Solstice front end on it, put on Solstice mirrors, the front side fender scallop....I tried and it, but I'm working with a touch pad...not refined enough...but the concept looks good...I'm not real good with chopping so hope someone else will do it. TOXIC, you are very good technically with chopping...hint..hint.
  3. Interesting about those two AMC hatcbacks being produced in South America. In my reference they are listed as prototypes.

Rumor has it that there will be a 2006 LeSabre as the Lucerne comes on the market. Hanging on for dear life.
  5. Quote from article: For decades, GM's own rules -- risk-analysis calculations that squeezed the emotion out of its cars -- were its worst enemy. It's time to throw the rule book out. Never have there been more accurate words said regarding GM and how it has conducted it's business in the last 30 years. I like how they photographed this great new Pontiac with the vintage Pontiac sign in the background. Nice contrast.

The end of the line. Goodbye LeSabre.

Thanks for the correction. I'm so lame. When I was putting the little tribute together, I intended to put in the '59...but first I googled '58 LeSabre just to doublecheck my facts......but got '58 on my mind and spliced in the wrong pic. It is indeed the '59.
  8. This one is brilliant as well.
  9. haypops...definitely it's beautiful.
  10. The LeSabre name could have survived. For a long time, GM did not give it cars that were worthy of the name...so it died. Goodbye LeSabre, some incredible cars over many years wore you proudly.
  11. These were all great chops. Congratulations to the top three.
  12. Exactly....it's curious why they would include this car in the retrospective.
  13. I love Toronados but the Leno one is so heavily modified it's really not a Toronado anymore....it's a Corvette with a different body. He had his made into a rwd.
  14. This is one month he is referring to. Lot's of cars outsell the 300. It does not excuse Buick for the LaCrosse's shortcomings.
  15. Call me retarded but from now on, I'm calling the G6 the Pontiac Arrow GT-6. Saab has Aero, now Pontiac has Arrow. It's only fair.
  16. I agree, Sixty8, that OHC 6 is a great engine. It was very innovative and very different for an American automaker.
  17. Wow, Ford is no longer in the running for the King of bland....of course it's a concept. They are still stuck with production lines churning out blandmobiles.
  18. The first first Trans Am, the '69:
  19. NICK!!!....lol....that's funny on so many levels.
  20. Here's my big Airstream Skydeck and there's Blu, his tent and his bear. That's my dog Toto.
  21. Blu, hope you have a great weekend erecting your tent.
  22. Congratulations...great car, great choice, great color!!...good for you.
  23. The 2005 Airstream Skydeck. Isn't it good to be alive and live in a country where you can buy this?....I want one. Where's the beer?
