  1. ....and here's something new they are working on:
  2. I will never like the gauges at the centre like that....I actually detest it. I hate that blank piece of plastic directly in front of driver.
  3. Another shot of the front:
  4. Here's a very sexy Alpha Romeo concept that was shown recently at the Pebble Beach Concours, notice some similarities to a recently introduced GM product?....not exactly, but has a similar flavor.
  5. It is very sad. Is it a death watch? Are we witnessing a a long slow death of another division? GM, don't do it. I always thought Pontiac would go first, but I am now thinking it might be Buick.
  6. I like the Pontiac G6, but it doesn't have ideal proportions....I like the Maxx less, but it's proportions are better.
  7. Yes, lol, but what is this special Firebird? What type of Firebird is it?
  8. It doesn't have the distinctive look like it did. This is more to the Toyota Highlander side of things. I think Toyota wants a consistant bland element throughout their lineup.
  9. I wish they could make that top more taut.....it's too wrinkled....and it seems like all the Solstices have that characteristic.
  10. I have some photos of the Vauxhall version posted in 'Retractable Hardtops' thread in the lounge as well. It's a very nice car. The Vauxhall, almost identical to the Opel:
  11. I don't need no stinkin' Jeep....I have a Hummeringbird.
  12. Firebird Quiz. What is this car?
  13. I was at a Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealership recently....the Buicks just sat there all very ordinary, nothing to make you walk over and take a look closer. They all look 5 years old. The Rainier is not a Buick, the Terazza is not a Buick, the Randezvous is all awkward looking. The Lucerne is not here yet. So what are you left with? Ancient LeSabres with terrible interiors and the new LaCrosse....it's ok, but ordinary. Not much to get excited about. It's all very sad really.
  14. I have to try that Variance.....Man, I even get motion sickness now playing race car video games, the ones at the arcades where you almost become part of it.
  15. Pontiac must build this car....and I agree...no Sky version!!.....this coupe is one of the sexiest two seaters around.
  16. It's amazing how many rollercoasters there are around the world and growing in numbers and configuration. Obviously people everywhere love the thrill. Me, I always have to fight motion sickness....so watch out below...but I still like the rides.
  17. Paulie it is worrisome about Buick..I hope we are wrong in that impression. Also, Daewoo is involved in the research for a sporty rwd GM car. What?!!! It also mentions GM's 'indecision' on rwd.....I'm still a GM fan, I'm still a GM fan, I'm still a GM fan.....I keep repeating this mantra.... Some of the future plans seem so slow to me. That awful Ion is still around until '08.
  18. I am just crazy for the rooflines on GM cars of this period....how the top goes a bit beyond the glass..a little sassy lip...the glass wrapping around to a slim rear pillar.
  19. Safeway grocery stores sell Lucerne dairy products, a perfect tie-in. Martha drives up in here brand-new Lucerne, pops the trunk, camera zooms in, and she lifts out all her Lucerne stuff...goes in and makes a smokin cheese cake from scratch. Then she goes on a field trip to Lucerne, Switzerland and tries her hand at making goat cheese. Now that's a televison program.
  20. In 1940 Buicks came in six series, Special, Super, Century, Roadmaster, Limited 80 and Limited 90. Not sure where the Phaeton fit in.
  21. Nice shifter,
  22. The Batmobile:
  23. Tony...that's an interesting observation...you might have something there....I bet you are right.

    Buick

This 1940 Buick Super convertible is very sexy. It has a Hollywood look to it...like a celebrity would drive it in it's day.
  25. What car is this and approximate year?
