  1. I constantly regret selling it. It wasn't for the meek...people stared constantly....I kept it in perfectly clean...blackest tires....it was a very nice car.
  2. Did ItalDesign do this one?
  3. For some reason I decided to walk the alleys near my place up to the store... I saw a maybe 65 Fairlane coupe in red with chubby blackwalls and stock hubcaps......down a little further, an '84(?) Pontiac STE..all sad looking....these used to be such nice cars in their day...don't see them around much anymore.
  4. Here's a bitchin HHR...yo, what up homeslice?!!....Aye...Ayyyyye.
  5. You access from inside......Corvette did that for years. We don't want to clutter up that nice Solstice bum with cracks.
  6. Razor so agree....it was a golden era in American history....class act all the way.
  7. absolutely agree about Bobby Darrin....one of my favorites....so who desined then?.....the dash looks amazingly modern...just put some padding and plastic.. When you calculate those 150,000 dollars...it must translate to a million dollars in todays currency.
  8. same...look how the chrome trim follows the base of the windshield and then up the side and back in a little lip at the back....I love those details.
  9. This is such an interesting bit of auto history and way to go razor for picking up on the Darrin connection.....Mac the Knife baby...
  10. Here's the Kia Grand Carnival.....suspicious, I think so...sounds like 'Grand Caravan' kind of. Very sneaky.
  11. I think we are all Kia lovers. Kia lovers!
  12. Was the designer like a clothes designer?....I did some research, names of that era were Oleg Cassini, Pierre Cardin....not Coco Chanel?!...Dolce and Gabbana?lol.
  13. This is becoming a nicer car with each update on this body style. It has become a very good looking vehicle. I like that new front end and the wheels as well.
  14. This '59 is truly the most amazing El Camino I have ever set eyes on. Stunning purity, subtle, yet hot as hell fire.
  15. ya the missle noses and rocket cones and pointy bumperettes etc...they are just, well....big dagmar breasts...it's very subliminal.

    Buick

GM1 that is a very nice 98.....very sharp example of that car.
  17. Voices inside my head say, this is close to what the new Envoy will look like. And I like it. It suggests that GM is getting away from vanilla design and flexing a bit with some much needed style in this segment.
  18. If Martha were to actually drive a Buick, what would she choose? I think she would buy a Rainier. It's practical to carry all her crafts and it will get her through snow and sleet on her way to Turkey Hill. 'That umbrella in the back cargo area...I made that with my own two hands (well, I had help, I have 300 people working at the studio), it's made from rare Japanese rice paper and made waterproof with many layers of hand rubbed beeswax.'
  19. It's sure a new trend these retractable hardtops. They are nice in there own right, but I like my convertible to look like it's a convertible...so I prefer a softtop. These hardtop retractables are stealth convertibles...shhh..don't want anyone to know.
  20. Take that you Jeep!....

    Buick

I have always liked these Buick LeSabre coupes. I think this is an '89.
  22. I've seen Jim Kenzie doing editorials on TV and I have to say, he's boring, and presents himself in a sloppy way, bad haircut, old man glasses from the seventies and insignificant to anything in the automotive world. He's small potatoes. 'He does 0-60 in 60 seconds'. Thats my review of Jim.
  23. It looks like a '40 Buick. Beautiful car.
  24. Razoredge, you are right, the '73 was the only year with plastic front bumper and chrome rear ones. They changed the rear to plastic for the '74 model year. I owned one of those '73 Stingrays in white with black leather interior...one of my favorite cars. It had a feature that some cars are just getting now. Tilt AND telescoping steering wheel. It also had a factory theft alarm system. And you are so right, I always liked those sail panels. Some years of this body style, you could remove the rear window.
  25. 1 8 ...they all are very good.
