  1. While I'm not a bumper, window sticker fan of any type, this was mildly amusing, saw it the other day on a pickup:
  2. Cadillac is sure the winner so far. You guys obviously have good taste.
  3. that Mazda 929 is amazingly like the 80s Volvo, except flatened a bit.
  4. Do you mean this?.....just the worst ever.
  5. I hate these #@*&in signs people place in ther rear windows. Like if a baby wasn't on board, well, go ahead and ram us.
  6. I luv the underdog, the forgotten car makes, the orphans. Kaiser is one of them. The father of the Jeep and Hummer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaiser_Motors http://www.helium.com/items/247867-automot...zer-corporation
  7. You know, when you think of it, the CTS-V is really the new '4-Door Corvette'.
  8. Hmmm....best GM car in a move....well I'd pick one of their cube vans.
  9. You know, I'm getting more excited about SAAB myself...saw the new Turbo X at the dealership...has a wicked look to it and fast as blazes.

    HARDTOP

I want to start a group of like minded individuals here at C&G for the return of the pillarless hardtop at GM. Those who want to join in the plea to GM, could put it in their signatures etc. I need help with the acronym. H.A.R.D.T.O.P. Here's a start: 'Hardcore Advocates for the Return of Detroit Tops Only as Pillarless'
  11. Ok, now pick your favorite out of your list.....you can do it
  12. One of the things I love about GM is that they'd do stuff like offering a huge V8 in a car like the Chevy II. And a invisible station wagon version could have it too. Luv the contrast.
  13. I so agree with you guys. We are car enthusiasts here and probably see things quite differently than the car buying masses. More and more people see the car as merely a conveyance. Nothing more. I find it so hard to comprehend that. Toyota Camry/Corolla sales tell the story very clearly. But, Blu you are right, the Chevy II and it's ilk were sort of the the 'Toyotas' of their day. Bland, frumpy, listless. An interesting perspective, Blu and you are spot on.

  16. I hear ya, I prefer the ragtops in these in the Nova Super Sport. You are right, the Corvair was much more modern looking. The Chevy II was slightly frumpy.
  17. Well glad your Mom is ok too. I know how you feel about your truck. No matter how nicely they repair it, you never forget, it takes away the lustre of being pristine and new. I've been through that and finally gave up and traded it. I just couldn't get over it. I hope you fare better than me. Your poor Mom and the Rondo. She does need her car back.
  18. Corvette is a given. But for me it is the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. I want it. I lust for it. I need it.
  19. Yep and they'll coddle this guy, making sure all his rights are respected. Some background has emerged about this man and there doesn't appear to be any mental issues in his past and no previous record. Recenlty we had a horrific murder/suicide here, a young architect knifed his wife, two daughters and a tenant to death, leaving a toddler alive then killing himself. It defies any explanation. One keeps hearing of these bizarre cases more and more. It's like some evil has been unleased on the earth.
  20. 1965 Chevrolet Chevy II Did you know that they had a 327 V8 option, rated at 300 hp for this little car? And a few got into the station wagon. Here's a very rare one with 4-speed manual:
  21. I might have missed any updates, but what's all been happening with your situations?
  22. We are all GM fans for various reasons, but what current production GM vehicle is your favorite?
