  1. The sad thing is that the knockoff's rear looks better then the original. That's always been a weak area on the CTS.

Interesting to see how the Corvette interior looks upgraded. And it's very nicely done. The front may be a bit too Ferrari vintage, but it's beautiful. I'm so glad that coachbuilding is alive and well.

Anteros, an independant coachbuilder will be showing sportscars based on the Corvette at SEMA.
  4. Can't agree more. It all seems so simple to me. It's a tried and true formula. GM has used it often. So often in retrospect we often think of Camaros, Firebirds and the like as only powerful V8 muscle cars. There were many sold as base models with sixes. Those with less means get a little of the image and it in turn makes the eight cyl, loaded ones possible and sustained over many years and GM makes money...everyone wins. GM has to look no further than their own history to regain their former glory.
  5. So many plates are rather garish and gaudy. I tend to like them simple. Here, years ago they used to completely change the plate every year. It was fun. You'd look forward to the new color. Now it's just sticker and some plates get so old and cracked that you can't read them. And some put those old plates on brandnew vehicles. huh?!!!...looks like crap. Also here in Alberta they are required only on the rear of the car. Sure is nice seeing cars without them, especially fronts of exotic cars.
  6. Isn't that a bobcat or Lynx?
  7. I like these vintage California plates, this one and the earlier black version.
  8. In Canada, there are 10 provinces and 3 territories. One of the most unusual plates anywhere has to be our Northwest Territories plate in the shape of a bear:
  9. Blu, take me with you....I want to see your next love interest.

I'd even like a version where the rear doors have windows and solid to the rear. I think many will buy this panel just for the sheer coolness. Outside any practical considerations. It looks smokin.
  11. I find the G6 doesn't photograph well because in the flesh they look way, way better...like night and day.
  12. me too....a neighbor has a black one....it always grabs my attention, like that rear 3/4 view....very sexy!
  13. Here's a visual Blu....haven't found a white coupe yet. A white vert:
  14. On some vehicles, white looks so good, especially with some chrome bling....glad to see you are in love. I need to go to a lot again.

blindspots are not an issue with me.......Consumers Reports cares more about that sort of thing. Busdrivers, truckers, vanners, convertiblers all have blind spots. You adjust your driving to it.
  16. Understood, but by American, most think United States of America. We are a separate country, many of your cars are built here. Just presenting the case that there is no clear categorization. So even if Audis are built in Austria, they are still German. Just for the sake of convenience. I never want it said that Toyota is American. ugh. Maybe one has to go with the heritage of the original automaker....Saabs will always be referred to as Swedish even if they were built in Toledo. Or Volvos in Halifax.
  17. I detest grey interiors of any hue. As President, it would be my first law passed. NO GREY INTERIORS. If infractions occurred, the convicted would be banished to a tiny, mouse-hide room forever. Truely a blight on cars for so long. My mood just droops every time I get into a mouse fur car.
  18. Or....what is a car built in Canada?.....Canadian or American?...it's all so confusing. Or years ago Volvos used to be assembled in Halifax, Canada. Swedish? Hmmmm.

Absolutely love this....I'd get it before the window version and I'm not a plumber.....well not in the truest sense of the word.
  20. Just a nitpicking item...a constructive suggestion: When choppers make a 4-door sedan into a coupe, remember to change the view through the windows where you can still see the 4-door set-up on the other side.
  21. Saab wasn't that Swedish even before General Motors. There was platform sharing, engine swapping going on with other companies earlier on.
  22. 2......3..........6.............8
  23. This and many cars would look so good in rich, vibrant colors. With the return of chrome, color please come back. We miss you.
  24. I wonder when color will come back. It just seems alot of various degrees of grey and tan. So safe, so vanilla.
