  1. Well I'll tell you, some cars look even sexy with the top up. This and the Corvette come to mind. When the soft-top is designed right and proportioned properly....it looks good up too. It always says to me, it's something special....not ordinary. Now the new Mustang with top up looks out of proportion to the car.....looks way nicer down. It's like girls right...some look good with their tops on or off. But then some should keep their tops off all the time.
  2. You know, I have to go back and find out where I got that........looks mighty fine to me. I'm hoping Pontiac will go back to that horizontal split grille treatment...always says Pontiac to me.
  3. I'm all for having the Screamin Chicken as an option on the future Firebird. I like the brashness of it. American design practices aped too much of Asian and Euro elements. American automakers have to start being American again. Who cares if EuroTrash types ridicule them...whatever. If done well and updated for now, I'm all for it. Man I like this car!!!
  4. Very hot looking. Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster:
  5. I get a reptile vibe from these headlights.
  6. http://www.pontiac.com/ They all seem to be here....what are you referring to?
  7. Here's a photo of the actual concept, just released:
  8. Coming from you, that's quite a compliment to buickman and sixty8.
  9. But the US has to start obtaining more oil from friendly countries. You get much oil and natural gas from us, but there is much more to be had. Alberta, Canada has massive amounts of oil. Almost equal to Saudi Arabian reserves.
  10. Completely agree with all you said!! And I wish GM would bring back a 2-door suv with removable top!!.........I'd be frist in line. I miss the GM that did things like that.
  11. Almost identical.
  12. 20-30 years ago, the doomsday people were shrieking that oil would be run out by now. Still lots around. And the whole thing of automobiles spewing out all the 'polution' is just nonsense. Cars in some areas are actually cleaner than the enviornment they are in. The whole emissions/greenhouse thing is flimsy pseudo science. It's all become so tiresome, all the preachy doomsday people, all the tree huggers...they are silly spoilsports. I'm glad to hear of reports of good supply of oil.....I celebrate it. I endorse it. Up with oil!!
  13. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/fn/4183291.html I was listening to a talk show the other day, with a scientist. More and more the conventional wisdom of oil being decaying animal and plant matter over millions of years is being questioned. He contends that the earth produces oil from within and constantly....so there could be a possiblity that oil will never run out. That would be so hard on all the Chicken Littles out there.
  14. The Stainless Steal Brakes 'Michael Jonas' LS2 powered Solstice from the Mallet people with a claimed 0-60 in 4.4 seconds.
  15. Laugh now, but mark my words, Chinese cars are getting better and better and eventually they are going to make inroads into our market. This is a decent looking vehicle, it used to be their styling was laughable. When they get the quality thing tightened up, it could be worriesome.
  16. Hey thanks for the Hydrogen Car 101....appreciated.
  17. I think they were going for a very simple design and that can be good if done well. This tends to look just plain. Maybe a darker color would be better. The original GM Sequel had a more dynamic show car dash:
  18. The great thing about hydrogen cars is how the all the running gear can be integrated throughout the bottom of the car and only be 11 in thick.....the skateboard idea that GM developed.
  19. I so agree. And I think the Enclave will look so good in white with all that chrome. I'll bet this will be a candidate for bling jobs.
  20. I agree, it should be a brushed metal look.
  21. Me too! That's exactly the way it should be. The question mark is the Cadillac SRX in relation to this vehicle.....it doesn't have near the visual impact the Enclave does. I'd get this before I'd buy a SRX. With the Enclave coming on stream, it makes one wonder if the SRX is really needed?
  22. I'm not really well versed in hydrogen technology. All those big openings/vents on this vehicle, does it need a lot of ventilation being a hydrogen car?
