  1. Our 09 Malibu is going in for it's first oil change Saturday. 8,000ish miles since we bought it new years eve. Not a single issue so far. I really can't find anything on this car to complain about. And he's right too. GM simply MUST make EVERY new vehicle as good (or better) in its segment as the Malibu is against the camry/Accord. AND they have to maintain their quality for a lot longer than the first 90 days.
  2. I still think Chevy should have the Malibu (sedan) and Pontiac should get a (much updated) G6 in coupe and convertible ONLY. It'd fit better with their 'image' and eliminate competition within GM on the sedan.

  4. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090401/bs_nm/...tos_report_sb_4 The rumor mill appears to be in full production. Of course the administration denies it.
  5. This is interesting. I wonder how they plan on doing this.
  6. Nicely done, thanks for posting. As a former owner of one of these beasts I can say, they are fun cars. Of note. Since the Impala SS is worth more than a comparable Caprice a potential buyer should be aware of potential undisclosed Impala 'clones' There are ways to tell but as always, buyer beware.
  7. Translation: Buy your 2010 model year vehicle and keep it forever.
  8. Not good. But I guess at least this one isn't a stupid GM move.
  9. Congrats on the new (to you) car! I'm not much for red cars but looks nice on there.

  11. If every politician stopped exhaling I'll bet we'd not only reduce 'global warming' (i.e. hot air) but we'd significantly reduce CO2 emissions too..... I'd like to know where in the Constitution the Supreme Court is reading that the Gov't can regulate this....
  12. I "just happened" to stop by the local Caddy dealer this evening. Was talking with my sales guy about last dates to order '09 models. He mentioned that they just ordered a CTS wagon in Crystal Red for inventory. He guestimated 7ish weeks. I will most certainly be stopping in for a closer look when it arrives!
  13. ChromaFlair is a brand name, the Thunder Grey uses it. http://www.jdsu.com/products/decorative/pr...hromaflair.html http://www.cadillac-chromaflair.com/
  14. This sounds interesting.... Impatiently awaiting the rest of the updates for '10.
  15. Sad that this is becoming routine for them too.
  16. My guess is because Cadillac is more expensive. They can begin to recoup the costs more quickly with a more pricey model while they develop the less expensive models in sequence. Besides, if Cadillac is to be the flagship brand, it should get the newer technology first. :twocents:
  17. Buick has been nipping at lexus heels for some time. Nice to see them pull ahead. Jaguar is a surprise though, Hope they can maintain it.
  18. I really kinda like the base LS wheels, that old rally steel look. Here's mine, nicely optioned 2LT. I love those optional wheels too! But that's a chunk of change! EDIT: Though if this were a 'weekend car' it'd be the V8, no doubt.....
  19. Ctrl + Shift + Up is also a possibility. Katz rul!
  20. This is good news. Can someone post the text of the article? I can't read either.

  22. My local Chevy/Caddy dealer says he has five on preorder. This is a small dealership, that he has three CTS's is a big deal.
  23. I don't agree with you often but as much as I hate to admit it, this post is spot on. In GM's 'report' to Congress they stated that the target market for Cadillac is Mercedes and BMW. The CTS matches BMW but that alone won't be enough. The new Insignia would make a great entry level Buick if they visually separate it from the Malibu and option it right. It would NOT make a great Cadillac, period. Further, to establish themselves, Cadillac can't JUST match BMW and Mercedes. They have to exceed them. And do so consistently for several model iterations. THEN they will again be able to claim 'Standard of the World'.
