  1. I found this on the website of the anchorman for Channel 3 in Hartford, Connecticut http://dennishouse.wordpress.com/2010/10/04/reason-727-to-own-a-buick-roadmaster/
  2. I still haven't seen one on the road, so I guess she was lucky to get one of the first Regals.
  3. Found this about some Hartford newscasters who bought a Regal She looks pretty young http://dennishouse.wordpress.com/2010/07/02/nothing-like-that-new-car-smell/
  4. Parsons is in suburban Hartford, Connecticut and is known as the biggest in NE and old school. Lots of pinstripes and they also put metal dealer badges on the trunk. Heard some hot blond tv newscaster bought the first Regal.
  5. I imagine the Regal will lower the average age even more, and the Verano/Velite will help, too.
  6. http://www.detnews.com/article/20100412/AUTO01/4120334/Buick-bounces-back-with-younger-buyers Down 7 years for an average is a lot. Not good news for Toyota, since I bet the average age of Lexus and the Camry is soaring.
  7. Heard a rumor that the selection of that name was chosen for a big reason. Verano means summer, which is a great name for a convertible. Could be based on the Opel Astra twintop
  8. Will they be worth money? Saw this blog about them: http://dennishouse.wordpress.com/2009/03/21/yes-i-really-drive-a-buick/
  9. A stick in a Buick! No need to buy an unreliable Audi A-4 or VW Jetta http://jalopnik.com/5408535/breaking-buick-regal-getting-a-manual-transmission
  10. http://blog.caranddriver.com/blazing-buicks-335-hp-regal-gs-regal-sport-wagon-being-discussed/
  11. smk is home because there is no school today. lost in the shuffle? don't think so. This Regal was named European car of the year as the Opel Insignia and will be aimed at Audi A-4 customers. Should be easy picking considering Audi's spotty reliablity. Altima? Are you serious? Not with all the recalls Altima has had and Nissan's stepchild status among the Japanese automakers. Luxury brands can make 4 cylinders. Oldsmobile and Pontiac are gone, let's move on.
  12. Needs ventiports! http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/gallery?Avis=C4&Dato=20091111&Kategori=BUSINESS&Lopenr=911110802&Ref=PH

  14. There is a new Buick print ad that just debuted showing a four vehicle lineup: Lacrosse, Lucerne, Enclave and Regal. I'm having trouble posting the picture. Can someone do it? Also Troy Clarke from GM said this today about Buick "The good news for Buick is that it is one of our core brands and so will get a due amount of our attention in terms of entries, cadence of entries, and effective promotion to build the brand. Best to take it step at a time so right now we are focused on the launch of the new Lacrosse. Dynamite product. Continues the renaissance of Buick that began with the Enclave. We will get this one right and you can take it to the bank that we will do that on every new Buick. I will tell you that you will be pleasantly surprised at the product line up we have for the new Buick. It will go places product wise we haven't gone with Buick before."
  15. Maybe the clay model wasn't the next Enclave after all? http://gm-volt.com/2009/06/15/breaking-new...rid-drivetrain/

  19. Average age of Buick buyer is 63. Average age of Lexus buyer is 61. Buick needs a smaller sedan (Regal) a smaller ute (the Vue) and a convertible, and who will be the old person's brand?
  20. I think they kept the name LaCrosse because of continuity. The W body and that engine are extremely reliable, which is why the Century/Regal score high on long term dependability, even though those models are discontinued. LaCrosse will likely maintain that, and in a year or two when LaCrosse shows up on long term reliability replacing the C/R it will help current sales.
  21. I'm wondering since GM says it will focus on Buick and make Pontiac a niche brand, what is next for Buick, since Saturn and Saab look like history. 1. Will the G-6 convertible and Saab convertible become a Buick ragtop? 2. Will the Vue become the Rendezvous?
  22. A small Buick could do very well. There are many young professionals like myself 30 somethings who want an upscale smaller car, but want it to be American. Something that competes with the Audi A-4, or the small Lexus. The 3 series and C-class seem to be above the Audi and the Lexus. Buick has the quality and teh history to make a go for it
