That song was a good case of: For me, there is one song I really notice the effect with. Matthew Good - The Fine Art of Falling Apart. It's even obvious from the title that it's a pretty depressing song.

Sometimes I feel bad for the gay guys on this board for the different attitudes that seem to exist in the US. Around here, there are restaurants and other businesses flying big rainbow flags. Doesn't seem to bother me or the other straight people around here. I think it's a lot less in-your-face to have it on your own car rather than a business, and you guys even get persecuted for that. I hope attitudes change soon, for everyones sanity.

Her previous boyfriend was also white. She went to high school in South Africa, so I don't think racism against me will be an issue. Race may be an issue in different ways, i.e. the way she was raised may make her hard to date...

I'm not going to get offended blu. She was raised in China... so she is probably more hardworking and innocent than most people here.

I'm always supportive of this ideal. I just stop reading if I don't like what somebody's saying. Also, unless I have something worthwhile to add I just don't post in a given thread.

I have asked her why. She says because she is just starting this placement. I just don't understand how you can be SO dedicated to your job that you can't go out for a couple hours at night. I'm not even asking her to drink...

The girl I'm dating is a software consultant like me. She's just started a new placement, and is very nervous about it, wanting to be sharp for work each day. I've gotten her to come to my place for dinner during the week, and to go out for dinner a couple of times. I asked her to go to a karaoke place tonight - and I know she likes these places, she's told me this, so that's not the issue. I can't seem to convince her to go anywhere. I'm not sure if you can really built a relationship if you can only see the person on the weekend. Is there anything I can do? Suggestions for better things to do that will have her home early? Am I being paranoid and should just let it go slowly? Ahh... I don't know what to think.

Whenever I see vipers now I laugh. One of my friends is 6'5" and used to be in the air cadets. His instructor for one of his courses brought in his Viper and parked it on an unused runway. He told all his students they could go out and drive it. My friend tried, but he couldn't get in. As far as the seat would go back, he still couldnt get his knees in around the steering wheel.

I gotta say 'none' too. I don't see myself ever owning a muscle car.
