  1. Oh so sexy. Makes me excited for the upcoming day when I can walk into my local Chevrolet dealership and order mine. Too bad I can't afford the SS, though. But that's alright. The V6 or even the 2.0L Turbo will do me just fine.

They still haven't got back with my e-mail yet.
  3. I can't keep the size class of the Chevy minis straight for some reason.
  4. I'll miss it too and hope for the best for GMC. I would really hate to see it go. But I guess if it comes down to GMC or Pontiac getting the axe, I would painfully choose GMC.
  5. Kenny Wayne Shepard
  6. The ABS light on the Lumina could be due to a faulty sensor, I think. So look there first. As for the Check Engine light, check all possible things emissions-equipment related (O2 sensor, catalytic converter, etc.). You may want to get a second opinion on what I just told you as I am still learning "the ropes" of mechanics, so to speak. I don't think you would regret getting the Lumina though, not matter how cookie-cutter is it. I have an aunt who has one and it has been a dead-reliable way for her to get from point A to point B.
  7. "Bringer of Elvenefris Flame" - Lykathea Aflame This band went largely unknown and only produced one album but it is quite something, really. It's very good, already to something of a masterpiece status.
  8. The Beat and Groove are very close. That's good. There were a lot of design elements I liked on the Groove more so than the others. I wouldn't mind seeing them run around, it looks better than most subcompact cars on the market right now.
  9. I think that the concept for a "Pontiac Astra" (or should that be "Astre?") should be similar to the new Lancer Ralliart, but with various levels of equipment and all-wheel drive standard on all models and a sticker starting under 17 grand.
  10. I don't trust the gas gauge on my Sonoma, and I don't trust my brakes that much either. But I do trust when it's time to change the oil because I'm the one who monitors that.

Another reason I like this car: it's the perfect color and will match my future, major automotive purchase quite well. :AH-HA_wink:

Update: I sent the email at 11 am this morning requesting a few more photos and some more information.
  13. I heard about this on the news last night. Regardless if the origins of the feet have sinister connections or not, it reminds me of something that a serial killer out of a Thomas Harris novel would do, literally.
  14. Still not what I was hoping for. The interior had better not be as disappointing as the exterior changes.
  15. Speaking of good, cheap finds, this cropped up on Craigslist yesterday: http://louisville.craigslist.org/car/725168249.html It's a 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass in decent shape for only $2700. I believe my dad is going to make an offer. :AH-HA_wink:
  16. Personally, I hope that is where the Groove concept comes in, as I liked that concept the best out of the three shown. Does anyone know what the Groove ranked at in the polls? Just wondering.
  17. I am glad you enjoyed it. That was something I had chopped up for a competition here a few years ago.
  18. Bravo GM on listening to what the people and customers are saying. Now if you only would just listen a little more closely ... :AH-HA_wink: And if I am reading this correctly, will there be more cars available with manual transmissions in light of new CAFE regulations? If so, well, I guess one small bit of good came out of all of this.

And I suppose this could be the start of a very expensive journey then, haha. In the big picture I want to achieve three goals: 1.) achieve some form/level of freedom from gasoline, 2.) have something different and unique, and 3.) find a good reason to buy that car.
  20. I suppose I would start by doing a mild restructuring. I would create a new sales channel of Saturn-Buick-GMC so that there is a "step up" system in place at these dealerships that is absent with the current Pontiac-Buick-GMC sales channel. Buyers of Saturn cars could step up to Buick cars. Buyers of Saturn SUVs could step up to the Enclave or a GMC truck if they so desired. I would also create a sales division for what would be "niche" brands, which would be Pontiac-Saab-Hummer. Each brand within this sales division would only adhere to a strict brand mission and a low sales target. Chevrolet and Cadillac could be combined at a dealership or could stand alone separately. I'll post more later.

Could someone convert one to Ethanol or another fuel source? As long as I am not tied down to just gasoline anymore, I suppose I will consider any GM motor with reasonable power for this project.
  22. How about the Acadia goes away and goes away for good? Why does it have to go elsewhere? Couldn't the Outlook go just a little more upmarket?
