  1. I really need that Olds. It isn't a want, it's a deep down genetic requirement like food and water.
  2. Seeing these cars makes me want to do violent and ugly things to people. I'll never understand, I see all these beautiul B and G bodies destroyed, such a shame. How much does all that cost anyway? Could that money not have been spent in a productive manner?
  3. Wow!! That's a ugly sumbitch. I guess it has some cool factor for being so rare and in such good condition, but seriously.
  4. Theres also this. Photoshop Online Free I haven't used it yet, don't know if you guys had heard about his, it was all over the web. Adobe is making a version of Photoshop free to the public as an online tool. Might at least work in the interim until you get your copy up and running.
  5. I have PS7, I could try to send you the files over an IM or something. I have CS3, but it's too ard to work around the security features now.

My deepest sympathy K.C. Take care and best wishes.
  7. I really wish they could have rounded up the money for the limo, it's the safest and they are all together, but I guess their parents aren't helping that much. I'll see if Mike thinks his sister would be willing to do that before I call her. I may ask the kiddo if he'd be down for it too, when I tell him "no" tonight. I haven't told him yet, I didn't want to just immediately say "hell no" and embarrass him, I wanted him to think I at least thought about it.
  8. I could trade cars with sister-in-law for the night, and drive them to the prom in her car. It's an '07 Infiniti FX. It's as cool if not cooler than my car. What do ya think? At least it has a back seat, big ass wheels and it's loud as hell. LOL
  9. I would just die if something happened to the car though, whether insurance would fix it or not. But, I don't think my insurance would pay off on a 17 year old destroying it, and he only has liability with 25/50/25. So he doesn't have enough insurance. I wish he at least knew how much thought my husband and I actually put into his request though. I really want to help.
  10. Well, it would take a few months possibly and could potentially be dangerous, better if it was you driving, but you could "accindentally" pour some tranny fluid in the master cylinder resevoir. It will destroy all the rubber in your brake system, and since it has anitlock, it could be expensive enough to total the car. Or maybe tell her you want to donate it to the Breast Cancer Foundation. Never know, it might work.
  11. I would gladly drive them if it wasn't a 2 seater. lol His folks don't have a credit card so they can't rent a car. Maybe my next door neighbor will drive them in her '07 LTZ Tahoe with 22's. :AH-HA_wink:
  12. I've been waiting for this. We are very close to the family across the street, including their children. Their oldest boy is going to prom. His parents recently seperated and things are tough over there and money is tight. His car doesn't work and he and his friends haven't been able to come up with enough money for a limo. I knew he was working up the balls to ask me if he could borrow my brand new Z. Well, he finally did. I feel bad for him, and I never even got to go to prom and nobody in his family really has a cool car. But, never mind insurance woes, I just can't do it, plus if his parents knew he had asked they would freak out. I plan to either let my son use my Z or rent him a limo, but that's a few years away thankfully and the car will be a little older, but I've only had this car for a MONTH!!! It only has 1400 miles on it. I'm not mad at him for asking, hell it took too much guts, but I hate that I feel so bad for not letting him. He's such a great kid.
  13. My favorite thing about this truck was the simplicity of it. It also had a billett grill and the bowtie was painted red. It also had a flowmasterbut no chrome tip, not a fan of the tips.
  14. Here's our old one, without the wheels, pinstripe and moldings. This is what one should look like, excluding maybe the 20's, they ride like $h! but look great!!
  15. Well, mines not a good example because it had 20's on it, which screwed with the mileage. Plus Mike has a serious lead foot. We only got about 15mpg, but I think the truck is capable of much more.
  16. I say go with the stick. I always wanted to do that with my Cutlass. Using parts from either a rare manual El Camino or an S-10. It'll be a blast when you're done. I wouldn't do the old 200-R4, kind of a turd. A 700-R4 out of something maybe. It'll be expensive and time consuming, but some things are worth it. I wanted to put the disc brakes and rear end out of an S-10 in my G-body too. Never got around to any of it. Sadly. Go for it!!!
  17. Is it not under warranty? Take it in and have it looked at, could be a module wiggin out, or a short. who knows?
  18. I agree, lose the pinstripe, wheels and the body side moldings. We had a short wide reg cab with a 4.8. Talk about a fun truck to drive!! I miss it alot. I can't remember the last time I saw an LS SW reg cab. Pretty cool. The 4.8 is a torquey(sp?) little bastard, I think it's faster than the 5.3 personally. Go for it, that's a really great truck and a good year. Just change the fuel filter religiously and keep it over 1/4 tank and you'll never have to deal with the fuel pump which is the only thing that really ever goes wrong with them. It's a gorgeous truck!!

  20. I know, it's the damndest thing. I see people like that but only very rarely. Maybe it's because most news about us is tornado related, and they mostly only hit rural areas. Still, there are plenty of intelligent, well-kept people in rural areas. Oh well. I like it here, but I've always in or close to Tulsa so I haven't had to deal with driving 50 miles to Best Buy. It's only 3 miles from my house. LOL
  21. This is just a suggestion, but a bigger bike like they said won't get great mileage, nor will any of the sportbikes. We get about 25-30 on the GSXR. But, we did have an '07 Yamaha FZ6. It's a 600, kind of a starter bike. That's what Mike started with because he had only ever ridden dirt bikes and was a little scared of the street. It is fast but it's more of a touring bike. It sits you up more and we were getting upwards of 60 mpg on it. I would seriously look into it. It was a beautiful bike, and didn't ride or sit at all like a sportbike. The insurance was cheap too because of what it was, how ,much it cost and the CC's. Here's a link. Don't let the looks fool you, it's worth going at sitting on one, I think you may be surprised. FZ6
  22. No, I agree completely. Okies seem to have a very narrow vision of the world as a whole. But, they seem to be content with that for the most part. I know your not baggin on us, it's cool. But, I hate that alot of people don't know about the money here, the incredible houses, history, etc. We're not all the guy they always seem to find after a tornado, no teeth, livin in a trailer talking about how it sounded like a freight train. That drives me nuts. We get no press and when we do it's always negative. Hell, alot of people didn't even know what or where Oklahoma was until after the OKC bombing. Too bad.

    Should I?

Yes, but what are the specs? Used, New? Mileage? My boss wants one but the first few of these that hit the lots are gonna have the piss driven out of them by salesman. He's going to order one and be there when it arrives on the transport, so they can't go rag the $h! out of it.
