  1. The RamBoxes are pretty sizeable. 120 cans on each side, or room for a set of golf clubs.. I think the picture on the Dodge website gives a good idea of how much space there is.
  2. What do you guys think of the RamBoxes on the 2009 Rams? http://www.dodge.com/en/2009/ram_1500/storage/exterior/ Cool to have the extra space? Great for tailgates?
  3. I also believe the Swivel n Go seating worked better in theory than in practice. So VW got rid of that as well.
  4. I've been in a few Routans, and the interior is top notch. The Stow n Go is a minor issue - the third row still tucks away, and the second row's seats are removable. The redone seating makes it worth it. Also, don't forget that VW completely redesigned the car's suspension. The Routan drives much tighter than its counterparts. That, the redone interior, and the no-charge Carefree Maintenance put the Routan a cut above its peers.
  5. it's tough to compare minivans with crossovers, in terms of exterior design. volkswagen did some changes on the front and back to give it a VW look, but they put in a lot of changes that aren't immediately apparent. like i said before, they re-did the suspension completely - you have to sit in the car and get behind the wheel before you can start noticing how its different.
  6. as i'm working with VW, i test drove the Routan earlier this week as well. i was really impressed by the seats and the steering - i had heard that VW spent $100 million on the suspension alone, so i wanted to try it for myself. the 2nd and 3rd row were surprisingly comfortable (as they typically are not in the Caravan and the Town & Country). the third row is awesome - that it folds into the car is obscenely convenient. i took some pictures as well:
  7. wow, thanks for all those pictures. i actually do some work with volkswagen, so i'm loving all the photos. i especially like the routan, it's one of my favorites - it's got a nicer exterior than the honda odyssey, and people love VWs. it could completely dominate the minivan market. what do you think?
  8. i hear you. i think the new VW Routan looks great. granted, i do some work with VW so i'm around them a lot, but i really like the exterior design of the routan.
  9. Bob Dylan - Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again
  10. if i cut beer and gas out of my budget, i'd be a rich man..
  11. just saw nats-braves on opening night. my dad grew up on the braves, so i always cheer for them a bit
  12. the one with the white van is messed up, but hilarious.
  13. just because the real thing isn't as dramatic doesn't mean it's not happening.
  14. also.. there's a million good basketball and football commercials out there.. have you guys seen any good baseball ones? i saw this great one with lou piniella of the cubs where he "turns over a new leaf". it's not on youtube, but here: http://www.aquafina.com/affirmations/
  15. i didn't see this anywhere else.. thought it'd be nice to have an official baseball thread. i'm a big orioles fan, and while we started out hot, everyone else isn't far behind. the o's just took two of three against the yankees this past weekend which was huge.. but i have a feeling we're in for a very long season. how are all your teams doing?
  16. i've seen a lot of commercials for the journey recently. the reviews seem to be pretty good. did you get a look at how much space was in the back? i read there's a lot of room back there.
  17. fugly. that's all i have to say.
  18. i hope you haven't ruled out the journey.. it recently got a five-star crash rating from edmunds (which could be big with the missus), and you can get an extra row of seats for the kids.
  19. they were going to have GOB from arrested development be the voice of KIT, but that fell through. terrible decision.
  20. i think this could get better for chrysler, with the challenger breaking out and the journey getting good reviews. the journey looks like it's solid enough to succeed, with its appealing to SUV-drivers who need minivan space.
  21. detroit free press liked it. gave it 3/4 stars.. has pictures of it in blue, which i liked a lot. looks like there a lot of room in the back
  22. a little journey update.. some more reviews are coming in.. this guy from the chicago sun-times loved it. the big thing he's keys on are the features.. there's apparently a ton of useful ones. he also liked the v6 ("sportier feel than one might suspect")..
