  1. What's the actual site that stuff will be posted to FIRST? I know it will find its way here as quickly as possible, but is it first going on media.gm.com or something else?
  2. According to someone on GMI who contacted a GM media rep (along with others), the info. won't officially be published until 9am, because GM never does the "midnight thing" because no one is working at that time to put it up. So don't expect to see anything until at least 9, or a little bit thereafter, tomorrow morning. http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif
  3. Well, seems like 9am tomorrow is THE time....keep your eyes out and your mouse clicking! http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif
  4. Sorry some of the pics disappeared....they were off a dealer site, and the black/tan GTP's must have been the most eyecatching to people, because they just sold.
  5. Wow. I've looked at many of these cars over the past couple of years and still never realized that it IS a plastic piece. Guess that kinda exemplifies how stupid it looks anyway...
  6. Well, considering how much it resembles Saturn's new design theme, and this quote from Lutz in the October MT: -Lutz From the looks in that pic, I could see people saying "Holy mackere!" when they see the full thing in person and then find out that it's a Saturn, let alone the Ion....that's just my view http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif
  7. Well, it kinda resembles the dimensions of the new Dodge Ram MegaCab, but you should note, they have taped an extra box on behind the cab to make it even larger--it really ends with the back door line.
  8. Wonder what we'll actually get....some quick, basic shots showing the inside/outside taken outside the factory, showing the inside/outside of the Tahoe, or the usual horrible GM "professional" shots with bad lighting, bad vehicle coloring, and bad angles? Either way, we've already seen nearly everything there is to see on the outside, so it will be the interior and the new features/options that will be of most interest.
  9. ANY of them, because I WANT to see the interior!!! Similarly, I also want to know concrete info on specs, options, features, etc. So, right now, I'd say Tahoe, because it'll be the first http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif Yet I still agree on the Yukon points, because it will be interesting to see if they REALLY differentiated it from the Chevy or if it's like now, a different grille and wheels, but EVERYTHING else the same. The Escalade, regardless of how much improved it is, is kinda last on my list, because if the core essentials of the Tahoe are great, the Caddy can only get that much nicer.
  10. How does it look "hella big"? Park a current Silverado next to this new one, and the size and overall profile would be virtually identical. Big and brash is not something GM tends to do, truck or not. For a good comparison, here's the new BIG Tundra:
  11. That's true, but another fact about that which always furthered my view is that, in truth, the V6 model of that same Altima costs almost exactly the same as the G6, but has MASSIVELY better engine power and refinement. Comparing it to the base 4-cyl of a competitor, whether or not because you have a standard V6, is just stupid...
  12. Good question...not to mention the fact that is also has a better interior layout and details than even the Lacrosse. Here's a good comparison to the domestic Regal: Even the door panels, especially, look MUCH better than the crap the domestic car got.
  13. Agreed, and with the image Pontiac is trying for, whose idea was it to put plastic wood all over? Yeah, BMW does it, but their cars are both sport AND luxury. As is, it just looks like they were trying to use Buick/Caddy pieces in the car to save costs....and the same goes for the mirrors. The Equinox finally got painted ones for the second model year, and one would think the same would be true for the G6, but no....
  14. Not necessarily. What was said outside the Janesville plant a few weeks ago was that they had built some, but they were locked away, and they "couldn't wait to show them to everybody in ABOUT a month". So, from that, I got that the first images will be out before the "official" show debut, which sometimes happens.
  15. This is a perfect example of how much the interior color can change the look of things too: the 2-tone light beige/black looks SO much better and classy than the all black, not to mention somehow looking higher quality, even though all the pieces are technically the same. Here's some other real-world GTP pics: And here's a Fusion Orange GT coupe: And a good rear shot of a Stealth Gray GT coupe:
  16. Yeah, now that you mention it--what the hell is up with that ident/mark on the side? Ever since the '04s came out, I've been wondering 1) why is it up so high, 2) why is it so large, and 3) why is it just an indintation in the sheetmetal and not simply a smaller painted plastic piece?
  17. Even though I can't stand the look of the sedan, I REALLY like these coupes more and more every time I see one. A base LS coupe with maybe just an auto as the only option is seeming like a VERY strong option when I go car shopping next summer http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif
  18. Why is the debate still going on with some of you? It was a quick shot with bad lighting, but even if you had no idea what a Lucerne was, sticking a good pic next to that one (like was done above) shows CLEARLY that that's what it is. The wheels are identical, the grille shape is identical, the pillars and chrome trim is identical....get the drift? And to those few that think it's an Impala--how could that be with a set of 18" chrome Buick wheels all around? http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif
  19. Now, if they'd just combine some of the G6's interior materials and rear seat room/comfort with the GP's looks and performance, they might actually have something.....like ONE fwd performance sedan that was actually desireable and not TWO that are kinda hmm.... ^_^ and overlapped side by side.
  20. This is bad, but what's worse are the commercials GM sometimes makes claiming or saying the same stupid things, but audibly and with video. :o Case in point, one of the G6 commercials where they were proclaiming the things they had on the competitor's, like a Panoramic roof and Remote Start that Camry and Accord didn't have, but then it all went to hell in a hand basket with this.... "And more standard horsepower than Altima 2.5"....... :o  Every time I heard it, I sat there dumbfounded, wondering if the makers actually did realize they were proclaiming their "better" V6 sedan had more horespower than a competitor's base model 4-cyl.... :o It was like, HUH?!
  21. This is just a Lucerne, plain and simple, I think the grille/emblem just being an illusion of sorts. They would NEVER show something like an all-new Malibu 2-3 years down the road that clearly on a commercial, especially considering that it would NEVER be that complete this early on.
  22. So what will this be--an "Appearance Package" option? If so, I wonder how much $$$ it will be.....but, either way, looks GREAT!
  23.
