Sorry to pick on Dodge Daytonas SpeedingPenguin... The 1980s Daytonas are quite absurd. I joke around with SP all the ntime and say he must have driven into a curb at high speed & pushed the wheels back a good 14" from where they started. Another exception to the rule... a very bizzare musclecar.

It's a very crude example... all I did was move the front wheel on the Impala forward about 10", just like with the earlier DTS.

Bulge!
I submit this Evidence that the Solstice is not a big "bulge" ofender!

Bulge!
Well stated. Everything with modern composite bulbs... my '59 Buick does not have oversized glass pimples no matter what the definition. & a new Camry: Here's a 2008 Impala SS: (no better, quite possibly worse)

All kidding aside
Whta the heck are you talkinmg about Z.... There's very few Pontiac/Chevrolet dealers left, and who says it will be the exact same? I honestly have no idea of what you mean. Look at the current Monte Carlo & Impala, WTF is that all about? That's LITTERALLY the exact same damn car,,,, different badges.

Disaster at Carlisle Corvette Show!
My point is you open up a thread like this worried about the 1 of 2 in existance 1969 ZL1s or some 1st gen. Fuelie that was on the carousel at Motorama...

Buick getting more models?
More im[portantly you know who a Zeta Buick would steal sales away from??????? Toyopet/Lexus Hon-Duh/Acura Nippon/Infiniti I swear GM can be so damn blind at times!

I may only NEED 15 but it certainly would not HURT sales or profitability to have MORE. Esp. if they come at a small price... the Ute is ready to go.

All kidding aside
How does Chevy need to TRIM models? Where do you guys get this stuff? Let's compare: Toyota 1. Yaris 2. Corolla 3. Matrix 4. Camry 5. Camry Solara 6. Avalon 7. Highlander 8. Sienna 9. Sequoia 10. Rav-4 11. 4-Runner 12. FJ Cruiser 13. Land Cruiser 14. Tacoma 15. Tundra 16. Prius -----> Also most Toyota Dealers sell THREE Scions under the Toyota/Scion Banner 17. xA 18. xA 19. tC If they still had the Celica that would make a nice round 20. More models = more markety share... it's simple math. I hate all this new B.S. of circular logic where somehow we'll be selling more by building less. It's stupidity and it must be stopped. Let's get real... Chevrolet needs to make more well placed, well marketed models not less!

Bulge!
Look closer, even the Conceopt has a bulge... it's more subtle but it's there!

Buick getting more models?
Buick dealers have to be dumber than a box-of-rocks! So you overlap Lucerne sales... WTF is the problem with that? You can't STEAL sales away from yourself, jackass!
-
All kidding aside
Being a Chevrolet the ElCamino can... - Instantly earn thousands of sales from die hard Camino fans - Be marketed through a LARGER dealer network to MORE customer base - Production would not have to be constrained... MORE SALES - You can have ahjigh end luxury model: LTZ and a splort model: SS - There's no GMC front end clip ready to go, there is onme for Chevy - In the end I say make both! Hell make all three "GTO-X" or perhaps "G-Utility"

What does a LeSabre and HHR have in common?
Oh... and yes, I was refering to your "stacked venitport" idea. I thought that was a great new spin on an old design element. how about at a slight forward pitch (angle) in a semi-vertical fashion just rear of the front wheel?

What does a LeSabre and HHR have in common?
I don't know why I always forget that '58 Buicks dropped Portholes. The B-58 had so much chrome dripping off it's every corner it's hard to beleive they trimmed down some anywhere. I swear I saw a '58 Buick at a carshow as a kid with a set of round ventiports in the front fender just above the sweep-spear. Call me crazy but that's my excuse.

Would-Be Classic Cars
Yes... you know what I say all the time, modern cars are throw-away cameras on wheels.
