  1. Right... as Balthazar said GM would loose truck sales! If this crazy scheeme is NOT going to increase profitability or sales & they would end up ALIENATING customer base while --HOPING-- to recoup some of thise sales, which realistically as we learned with the Oldsmobile fiasco would NOT happen... so what;s the damn point. This would be another throwing the baby out with the bath water scenario, there's no other way to look at it IMHO. Dude, Stop it. The last thing we need to do here is give some left over bean counter at GM bad ideas!
  2. Glad you enjoyed it PCS. A Rolls Royce. I think it's kind of neat... must have been very tacky in the 1930s. In any case it looks better than most Rolls Royces, old or new.
  3. Well that's why they make chocolate & vanilla. BV: the lighting on that Alero is not even close to the same.
  4. This guy comes into our dealership today to look at the Silverado 2500 that we have in the 2nd floor showroom, he's ben in before. His daily driver is a 2006 Aveo-5, stick and he's always bragging about getting about 37mpg real world... the thing is he always leaves it idiling for long periods of time while he looks at trucks, get a brochure from the showroom or whatever. Today he was in the showroom for a good 18-20 minutes while his little Aveo was left, door ajar... running with the AC full blast & the radiator fan kicking in and out constantly. Kind of funny if you ask me. Like the chian smoking Prius driver that I always see blowing nasty carcenogenic gray smokoe out of his window while holding a Marlboro in his left hand. So much for low emissions.
  5. Actaully there's two completely different types of MAGNUMs that can be used for "protection." Neither one of them have anything to do with Dodges or wagons.
  6. Holy cow! This remionds me of that movie: "Enduring Love" (plot centers around a hot air balloon accident)
  7. I guess I don;t get what you're trying to say... IMO the Mustang looks no better and no worse than the average 2007 anything... Certainly NO BETTER than the Corvette, Z06 or not. But I guess that's relative. As far as rubber bumpers, again.... this is a plague/curse of all morder/safe cars.
  8. Who DOESN'T love unrestored pre-war cars!? http://video.msn.com/v/us/v.htm?g=a8bff923...0&GT1=10267
  9. In front of Toyota of Nashua. (no he was NOT looking at Tundras... or any Toy-oh-dur!)
  10. Where's JamesB... he's always well versed in this kind of cuttingh edge stuff!
  11. The Solstice's headlights have a bulge upwards, it's sleek, aerodynamic & makes sense on a semi-flush mounted headlight, the lights that bulge out at awkward angles like on the Impala and moreso here are just gross!
  12. You seriously need to get off the pipe! GMC & Chevrolet customers often do not cross shop, it's sad but true, to kill either brand would be financial suicide for GM. The financial savings would be about 0.00001% of the losses.
  13. In the past few weeks I've seen three cars with DISGUSTING, carsinogenic exhaust fumes pouring out of theior tailpipes in thick, blue-gray-whitish clouds: Honda Civic hatchback ('88-'91) Mistubishi 3000GT late 1990s Dodge Caravan
  14. LOL.... Introducing the new/old Corvette Classic!
  15. I use a magnum quite frequently, but let's get back to the topic of cars....
  16. Again... the Mustang does not have "rubber bumpers"? If it was not for the performance the Mustang would just be a $h!box Ford.
  17. Gotta tell you... I love the Magnum. The up & over tailgate is boss. What's not to like in a Magnum?
  18. Same old one-trick pony... not that there's anything wrong with that. I love the Viper but I will never buy one, no matter how loaded I might be.
  19. locking hubs
  20. Z06 with 505hp will not be a classic BUT a FORD Mustang will be?!?!
  21. I agree... it has 60% of the room of my old RoadSmasher Estate but compared to an Equinox, Rav4 or some other POS crossover let's be honest: most people would be better off in the Dodge!
  22. Almost forgot, last night I did another involuntary "brake test" in the B-59 on my way home from work when a big F25/F350 cut me off at a very dangerous intersection, thank god I always anticipate a jackass there. It's kind of a trinagle/3-way stop sign setup, Julie calls it the intersection where she's always afraid of getting killed. I let the guy in the Ford know (with the use of my horn) that I was none-too pleased with his california stop & complete lack of regard for my 40mph speed at 60 feet away.
  23. I would take a 1938 Dodge over my 1959 Buick... and as Balthazar said either way I need to get some radial tires. Still why the F*** is it that these pepsi-can driving morons do not respect classic cars (& their lives) enough to not attempt a Hollywood style crash test?
  24. The large station wagon is not dead:
  25. They did not have anything this "highliter blue" in the 1980s... Oh, and DF: that peeling-paint-violet on the Neons, Voyagers & Startuses was a flat color... very FLAT. This is a metallic shade and can not even be compared to that Mopar shade... it's like comparing White Diamond to Ford Refrigerator White!
