  2. Here we go... late night Googling of photos, eBay scouering and retarded idea generation*, I might as well just sucumb to the fact that there's a COE truck in my future. Damn it I'm obsessed with too many automobiles/trucks. * seriously do you think I could have a modern aluminum flatbed body installed on on a late 30s to early 50s COE and not spend a fortune?
  3. That is effin hilarious! A butterfly just chillin on a dude's wang. Wow, talk about Kodak moment! Another cool photo. Wow, I gotta get this book. Yup, decided to use the "Panther" again. As soon as a 5th gen Camaro hits the streets I'm getting a GM logo tatooed on my arm! Mark of Excellence B)
  4. Yup... definatelly a Packard. Love those teardrop headlights, aerodynamic fenders and sidemount spares. :D
  5. Wow... case in point. How the hell do you put a bench seat in a car that's narrower on the inside than a Geo Prizm? Nice photography BTW...
  6. Cant' argue with that logic.... B) How about this for a dirt cheap $/mph ratio 1. Used Shopping cart: $75 2. Military Surplus disarmed air-to-air missle: $7,000 3. 4 Rolls of duct tape: $20 0 to 500mph to dead in 2.5 seconds! :P
  7. For even more jaw-dropping ego-shattering rubber-necking fun replace '69 Camaro with something even more unexpected... '94 Buick Roadmonster.... acid dipped, tube chassis & riding on C4 suspension powered by a twin-turbocharged LS7! That Caprice Classic of yours would be a great car to do this wiht too!
  8. I like the way you think!!! :metal: AS my friend Kenny said while drag racing his brand new 2003 Corvette Z06 wiht like 520 miles on it: I'll tell you someting about "break in", If crap si going to break I want it to break NOW while the car is still under warranty. Kenny's the man. Buick fanatic and an all around nice guy! He sold the Z06 last year and bought a blackb2005 GTO this summer, too bad he opted for an auto this time. :( He compred it to his Grand National: let the auto do the shifting and you get quicker times on average... I'd get the stick even if I KNEW for a fact that the auto woudl shave off a full sec. off the 1/4 mile ET. But once again I digress...
  9. Dude, seriously can you imagine out cornering a Lamborghini Countach, out accelerating a Ferrari Enzo and out breaking a Porsche 911 Turbo. Then later that night while partying in some funky belgian nightclub tell all the Euro-yuppies in their cars that the car is actaully a '69 Camaro made of aftermarket scraps. Of course it would be that much more sweet if it was a hand built and ratty looking GENUINE '69 with a 'Z06 Vette suspension and drivetrain... flat black with scummy looking lightweight 17" rims.
  10. I'd be glad to "help", if I'm not too biased for you. I hold strong oppinions and I've very critical of much of GM as we know it today, but then again you already knew that.
  11. Caprice: Are you Johnny Two Time from Goodfellas? :AH-HA_wink: "Gotta get the paper; get the paper." :P
  12. You Lucky bastard, I am so jelaous. I can not believe you actually SAW this vehicle... IIRC I believe the owner of the car is a registered member of Buick-59.com. This photo is posted there anyway. I'm sure Balthazar would know.
  13. I've worked at several dealerships and NEVER once saw it. Then again I didn't know to look for it. All we usually had in the service lounge was some ratty Newsweeks, S.I. and Golf Digests wiht half the pages ripped.
  14. VERY VERY true! All a bad hangover is, massive dehydration from all taht alcohol.
  15. Cool... sounds like you had fun. That's a good thing and I'm sure you have uit under control, everything in moderation! [homer] All work and no play make Homer something, something.... [marge] Go crazy? [homer] Don't mind if I do!
  16. Olds Curved Dash was the best selling car in the world from 1901 to 1905.
  17. wow... holy cow I'm picking that sucker up on eBay. It's not one of those for-GM employees only thing is it?
  18. Well spoken Fly. If you drove a Z06 Corvette as responsibly as a 57 year old lady drives her Grand Marquis to the church pickinc you'd never have an excuse to get into so much as a curb cruncher. Except for things out of your control lkike someone else rear ending you. But most people who own a Corvette drive it like it's stolen and therefore *screetch, cruch, smash*
  19. Much cooler! http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...wtopic=3641&hl=
  20. Has this been posted yet? It's the Wide Body Cobalt SS from SEMA. I saw this and amost fell off my seat. WOW. As a child of the 80s I'm a sucker for a sexy wide body car but this is just delicious. This thing is a ricer's wet dream and yet I'm completely infatuated wiht it. Even the crazy wing looks good. It whispers to me: "I'll meet you at Laguna Seca at midnight for a adulterous rendezvous, bring $100 gas money and make sure your Camaro does not find out! Bring protection too... you know a nice set of leather driving gloves!" Chevrolet Cobalt SS Coupe Wide Body Like all Chevy SS vehicles before it, Cobalt SS represents affordable, fuel efficient performance. In its Wide Body configuration, this special Cobalt stretches styling to the corners. Wheel opening flares, rocker extensions, extended fascias and a 64 mm track give Cobalt Coupe Wide Body a ready-to-pounce appearance. Further reinforcing this hunkered-down look is a suspension that is 1 inch lower in the front and 1.3 inches lower in the rear than its production counterpart, as well as 18 x 7-inch Asanti AF123B aluminum wheels shod with 225/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. Vehicle Highlights - Wide body styling with new front and rear fascias, fender flares, rocker - extensions and rear wing - ITW capless fuel fill system - Asanti AF123B aluminum wheels with 225/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires - Wider track with wheel offsets - Decah vertical doors hinge kit - Modified headlamp housing, lenses and color - Lowered ride height - Silver multistage exterior paint - SPARCO EV0 3 seats - Refaced gauges - Retrimmed interior - Stage II 2.0L SC engine with 241 horsepower and 215 lb.-ft. of torque - 5-speed manual transmission
  21. Don't get me wrong a big torquey inline six does the job just as well.... IF it has the same displacement as an equal V8. Just like Fords 5.0 (4.9 in reality) V8 powered F150 versus it's 4.9 liter Straight-Six. Six of one, V8 of another! :P
  22. That makes about as much sense as sticking a sunoco race fuel sticker on a wheelbarrow. It loks like a shrunken head version of a 1985 Chevy Astro to me.
  23. Thanks buddy! And it's a ragtop to boot! I'm not sure if Balthazar is into '60s Buicks, I love them but just love '59s even more. Those hubcaps are sharp, look at all the detail, gorgeous. The best thing about the '60 are the portholes, the most interesting thing is that they chose this year to introduce the Tri-Shield. EDIT: what book is this out of?
  24. I know for a fact that the Corolla is the best, safest, most perfect and fuel efficient car ever made. It runs on baby farts and the exhaust fumes smell like roses and fresh baked muffins. The 2003-up Corolla has the molecular bondage shell that was tested on the Knigh 2000 prototypes, completely impenetrable by anything from H2 bumpers to telephone poles. Someone must have obviously made a mistake! :P
  25. Here's some cool stuff off Google... (I know, I know you're not into Barrel Grilles) :AH-HA_wink: Check that scummy Ford I know it's not a cab over engine but look at that sweet pic.... "NEAR NEW" I love it!
