Chevy Updates the Corvette Interior for 2026

The Wall-Of-Buttons in the Corvette is GONE!

What matters is on the inside, right?  Luckily, the Corvette already sports a sexy exterior, but for 2026, Chevrolet updated the interior to address some of the common complaints in the latest iteration of their legendary sports car.

2024 verse 2026 Corvette Interior ComparisonThe biggest news is that the wall of buttons between the driver and passenger has been moved to a more conventional location under the screen, though not all buttons make the jump.  Some functions such as heated/cooled seats are now controlled from the central touch screen. And screens they are aplenty! The updated infotainment screen increases in size to 12.7-inches diagonal, a larger 14-inch diagonal driver information cluster, and a new 6.6-inch diagonal auxiliary display to the left of the steering wheel.  The drive mode selector has been relocated in line with the gear selector which opens up spaces for a new wireless phone charging pad, complete with a cover to keep the phone in place.

The new left-side auxiliary screen display gives dedicated access to trip information or performance management. All three screens features sharper and more vivid graphics. The animations have been made smoother and cleaner. Drivers can select their preferred layout or allow the system to adjust automatically based on drive mode. The Performance Data Recorder's user interface has been completely redesigned to take advantage of the new, larger screens.

For 2026, four new colors are available on all models:

    • Sky Cool and Medium Ash Gray with Habanero accents: Monochrome cool grays with unexpected pops of bright Habanero
    • Santorini Blue: Vivid shade of blue that is both vibrant and electric
    • Very Dark Atmosphere: Rich chocolate brown paired with Jet Black and Natural Tan accents
    • Ultimate Suede: Jet Black suede interior customizable through Adrenaline Red, Santorini Blue, and Competition Yellow accent stitch colors and matching seatbelts

Asymmetrical Adrenaline Red interior on 2026 Chevrolet Corvette StingrayCustomers can even spec a mixed seating option in Asymmetrical Adrenaline Red, with a racing-inspired Adrenaline Red Competition driver’s seat and a Jet Black GT2 passenger seat. The Ultimate Suede interior brings sueded microfiber to nearly all interior surfaces.

    Other new changes include:

    • A new, available electrochromic roof, which allows customers to change the tint level of their targa roof glass at the press of a button – selecting between full, medium, and low tint options.
    • The button to activate Charge+, which enables E-Ray drivers to replenish battery life more quickly or sustain battery charge for a track session, has been relocated to the steering wheel. Located just below the Z Mode button, Charge+ now has a more prominent location for ease of use.
    • Two new exterior color options are available for all models: Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic.

Honestly that is a great update on the interior, much better.

I am actually shocked, or GM is waking up to the reality that AA / AP is a much-required supported feature for customers. This has both, that is great.

It's only on some EVs that it's limited.  The Lyriq, Silverado EV, and Bolt EV/EUV have CarPlay and Android Auto

Everything I've read says the Silverado EV does not have Android Auto/CarPlay. I haven't looked into the others.

Early ones did. Perhaps that has changed.

Their website states "... and Google built-in integration."

I mean, that's all their vehicles these days, GM's entire Infotainment OS is Google based, all they do on the EV's is shut off the option.  That doesn't preclude Android Auto and CarPlay.  Volvo and Honda have no problem running CarPlay on their Google Built-In systems.

Yes your 7yr old cadillac has AA/AC when GM was applying it to everything, but most new GM products do not have it anymore. This is a bit of a shock that they did not take it away like they have done with everything else just about.

I think it’s only the recent EVs that don’t have AA/CP.  The normal vehicles still have it, don’t they?  My sister’s ‘23 Equinox has AA/CP.  From what I found online, various models like the 2025 Equinox, Silverado, Tahoe, Corvette, CT5, Escalade are all available with AA/CP, so it doesn’t seem to have gone away.

Much appreciated, I just remember the press release about protecting our data and not having it in EVs or ICE last year, so surprised they are still there. It is possible that GM has done a silent about face like Ford did in keeping it. But then they need to add it to the EVs as I am not going back to ICE. Would love to buy an EscaladeIQ but AA\CP is a requirement.

Ford never said they were axing AA/CP, unless I missed something. Have a link to that?

    100%. I won't even consider buying w/o it.

I cannot find the info at this time, but there was statements from Ford about following GM in moving to Android Auto based system with not allowing AA/CP to be usable.

    (20) All Carmakers Might Eventually Try to Kill Off Android Auto and CarPlay - autoevolution

Reddit had plenty of places people discussed this and questioned it. But then as folks started to backlash against GM, Ford changed their Tune and the CEO said they would keep it for all their auto's moving forward.

Now Ford says it's keeping Android Auto and CarPlay due to safety

Ford CEO Says Apple CarPlay And Android Auto Staying In Cars

Found the Original Google/Ford announcement that they would incorporate using the Android Auto system and why they do not say they will not support AA/CP, they also do not state that they will, but like GM implied a better end user experience.

Ford and Google to Accelerate Auto Innovation

I think this is what started to scare folks that Ford was going to follow GM. I know they said they were exploring and looking to secure their customers data within Ford rather than out to Google.

Thanks, I definitely did not remember reading that. I, too, would have been upset about that announcement. That certainly would have been a way to keep me out of future Ford products.

    • Some of these famous buildings are hideous, some are interesting with decent parts to them, and a rare few are really nice. The hideous ones include the newer architecture building at University of Washington, Wurster Hall (also architecture) at UC Berkeley, and perhaps the Salk Institute in San Diego.  These buildings are cold and soul sucking, so they're hard to be in.  They also come from a fairly ugly (on various levels) sixties and seventies granola period. One of these buildings would be a "hybrid" and it's fine.  That would be Campbell Hall (again ... architecture) at the University of Virginia, which is definitely brutalist reinforced concrete at the first taller level or two, with an exposed waffle slab at levels above you.  However, they soften it up by using brick on the upper floors' exterior, as well as lower floor to ceiling heights.  The one brutalist gem would have to be the main library at University of California San Diego.  They definitely did not do this to reduce costs because it's a complicated building.  However, it's probably a nice space to be inside because of the floor to ceiling windows all around. It's just that there was a wave of putting up these buildings on West Coast campuses, surrounded by eucalyptus or fir and hemlock, and it was usually at hippieish campuses and their atmospheres don't gel with me.
    • Happy Mother's Day to the mothers in our lives - family, friends, coworkers  She came to mind, so I looked for a gif on her.  She is originally from Buffalo!  Most people have doubles.  I don't think she does. Happy Sunday.
    • Having looked at all the images online, I have to say that the interior and exterior other than the color which I like is a let down and I would even say for a Luxury brand looks cheap.
    • Due to my tradeshow season, do not have the time till June to do any writeups, but Lexus has released their Luxury version 3 row SUV EV that Toyota released as the Highlander and Subaru also has. Clearly not connected to the ICE Spindale grill or as many of us called the Predator mouth. https://pressroom.lexus.com/all-electric-three-row-luxury-the-all-new-2027-lexus-tz/ The press release says 300 miles of range on Select Grade. Look at the fine print, this is a sea level level road, anything else is 250 to 280 miles of range. FAILURE Lexus / Toyota along with the 400V system.
    • After doing a bunch of research on this, it isn't so much Honda/Acura are limiting charging speeds as it is the battery pack total size directly correlates to the rate of charge they can accept. The Prologue and non-SS Blazer EV have 85kWh batteries at 288 total volts and the ZDX/Lyriq/Blazer EV SS all have the larger 102kWh battery at 345 total volts.  Because of the way the Ultium platforms have multiple pack sizes that can and are linked together to make larger or smaller packs, the total pack volts varies based on the application and why the Hummer/Silverado/Sierra EVs can charge at 800v when they're still on 400v architecture.  Because kW = amps * volts, the bigger packs have more nominal volts because they have more cells.  Below is a Prologue example and change the 288v for the Prologue to 345v for the larger packs of the Lyriq, ZDX, or Blazer EV SS and you get 190kW for the maximum (or do the math for the other chargers, as well)
